We enjoyed our stay. The room was clean with updated decor. Excellent breakfast with many options and seating. Convenient location to all tourist attractions. Staff was very friendly and offered suggestions for local restaurants within walking distance. For the price you pay its excellent value.

I don't know why.... but I am in a ...Taylor Swift... state of mind lately..

"No matter what happens in life...be good to people....
being good to people...
it is a wonderful legacy... to leave behind"... (Taylor Swift)

We don't always succeed in providing perfection to our guests...
sometimes we fail through carelessness...sometimes we don't know why...
but we always want...to be good to people...

thanks for being good to us.

We had to block in the parking garage for another business $12.00 fee that was block away- It was poring down rain- Next morning had to go get car in the rain and "FIND" someone in the business building to unlock parking garage doors so we could get our car! Sheets on the bed had "wear balls" and it was like sleeping on rocks- Would not recommend the hotel

As you know...when I read your comments on our... internal brand survey...
I responded immediately....and granted your request for a full refund...
on Monday at 10 am....

I did that...without any hesitation...and without an expectation of anything.

Then I read your review here on Trip Advisor...
on Monday after 6pm....

I must share that my wife Virginia and I... regret the experiences you had.
I must share...that personally... I do not feel that you were fair...
in allowing me to make things right...before posting on the survey and TA.
but...
since I don't allow myself.... to ever criticize our reviewers...
I will share with you this comment...made by Taylor Swift...

"You have losses that you'd never thought you would experience.
you have rejection... and you have to learn how to deal with that....
and how to get up the next day... and go on with it"...and we will.

Wish that you....had had... a good time here...and come to know us.

The hotel was ok. I just did not know that the room door opened outside which turned out ok because we were able to go to the top floor to see the 4th July fireworks. The entire hotel needs updating. It was sooooo small. I had a van, so "UNFORTUNATELY", I had to take up 2 parking spaces due to the size of vehicle. It is located at a very good place. The breakfast was delicious. I know I gained 3-5 pounds in those 3 days. The cable did not work well. Could never get the local channels, but did not complain to desk because we spent alot of our time out of the room. However, I chose this hotel because it had free WIFI (but it kept going on and off). Refrigerator took long time to get cold, so I kept all of our things in the cooler.

Room Tip: I always take my own cleaning supplies, but I did not have to use them. Housekeeping did a good job...

THREE things...most every General Manager in Downtown Atlanta "WANTS"...
are...

1...BIGGER rooms...or bathrooms...or...BOTH
2...Parking lots that they own... and are inside their own building property.
3...Newer buildings...unless... they are considered historical.

Reality though is that of that...16 of the 22 major hotels...exist...
with these circumstances...and we all hear / read about it in reviews.

Our building built in 1958 has 37 rooms facing the main downtown street...
are smaller than the other 72.

Anyway...as for your not getting the local channels... this was...
due to our failure.. to program the new TV... "channel list" correctly...
and as for the free wireless...
we DID...further investigation into that...(we thought it was a reset issue)...
and we discovered a connection issue that has been fixed now.

Our wireless...is the FASTEST available in the city of Atlanta.

I enjoyed reading your...OTHER reviews... and know that you are...
a person who has had some rather good experiences...
and I was moved...
by your review of the Center for Civil and Human Rights...
it most certainly ...IS... "a heart wrenching and important learning experience".

I understand you will not be staying with us ...
WHEN.. you return to Atlanta... SO...inquire as to the SIZE of the rooms...
for the hotels you do consider.... and thank you for the breakfast comment !!

Nice, clean hotel, friendly staff, conveniently located to downtown and Americas Mart. Feel very safe with gated parking garage. My business partners and I have been staying at this hotel for 15+ years and wouldn't stay anywhere else.

Great place to stay close to Centennial park, Aquarium and Coca-cola museum. Clean and updated rooms. Great continental breakfast, cute courtyard to sit and enjoy Atlanta. Cedric at the front desk and the manager Kenny were gracious and extremely helpful! No where else to stay, Bestwestern Plus at Peachtree.

You just became a Trip Advisor reviewer in May 2014 congratulations and thank you.

I read all of the other reviews of our reviewers... to know...
if the reviewer can be trusted.

11 postings... and so far... all your experiences have been positive...
and your attitude...is just so...well...."positive" and.... joyful.

What criteria determines that trust for me... is rather simple...
if the reviewer is balanced in their comments....
sharing both positives... and negatives...

and...IF...they regretfully... only had negatives..
recognizing...that others...may have a different experience....
even on the same day they stayed.

STAY positive... and remember...
every hotel / restaurant / attraction...
wants very much to please it's guests...

Can't recommend this old motel in need of big upgrade. Parking sold out for booked room and forced to use public non-secure parking across street. Door to room opens directly onto busy, loud street. Old sheets, carpet, bathroom. Just old and tired. Much better options very close-by.

I always overthink ...everything...and then desperately try to think on what to say.

Why the befuddlement...well ...while we like to hope...
and hope is always a good thing...
to please everyone ...every time...every guest has a different perception.

Some will share with readers of Trip Advisor...
that... our little Inn...
is ........."modern...clean and up to date and no where else... to stay".....
others..."just old and tired" and ..."don't stay here".
and...
these comments are made on the same day those guests stayed.

YES... we are indeed an OLD building...being built in 1958.
most of the buildings and hotels in Atlanta are..."old".
BUT... we opened up in June 2011...with all NEW everything.

YES.... a turnoff for some travelers is that we have exterior corridors.
BUT.... a positive for some travelers is that those corridors...
face a beautiful courtyard...which for some is a good thing.

YES....Parking is an issue...for us...and every...downtown hotel.
BUT....we do have parking on site...and others offsite...like the others.

YES....We have pleased around.... 180,000 guests these past 37 months.
BUT....it makes no difference...has no relevancy...
to the fact...the reality...the truth...that your experience was not good.

SO......if you would...contact me...directly at...
gdvelis@innatthepeachtrees.com
I have a thought... a proposal if you will...to chat about with you.

I stayed here for one night when on a business trip to Atlanta and I was not disappointed.
The hotel is conveniently located in central downtown and has it's own underground parking garage. The lobby area is modern looking and there are several areas to sit and 'chill out' if you want. The breakfast area is also nice with some good photo's of Atlanta landmarks on the wall.

I stayed in room #154 in the courtyard which was handy for the lobby and the car park and it was very comfortable and nicely laid out. The shower was awesome (if you like a nice powerful shower head).

the only issue was the internet in my room kept crashing every 10 minutes and so I had to keep reconnecting and logging in to stay online... Very frustrating especially when I was doing things like checking into my flight and booking a rental car and it would crash half way through the process and I'd have to start over! So please management get the Wifi connectivity sorted please.

The buffet breakfast was good with a selection of options from cereals to egg's and sausage.
I would certainly stay here again if on another trip to Atlanta.

Room Tip: Room #154 in the courtyard was fine.

335,806 miles travelled...38 Countries... 331 Cities...and 27% of the planet visited.

I must share that... I am somewhat intimidated...by the sheer magnitude...
of your travels to among.... such Countries as...
Viet Nam...Singapore...Taiwan...Sri Lanka...Slovakia...Croatia...
and the "more traditional"... China...Portugal...Egypt...Turkey...Greece.

I read that you spend 35% of your life traveling the globe.

And your commentaries in your other reviews...
and while I usually read every one of our reviewers other reviews
I must state that I was not able to read all 300 of yours.

I enjoyed reading about 60 and these two I particularly enjoyed...

Cookhouse Joe in London.. were you stated...
"it deserves to be in the TA Leader board and be in the Top 10 eating places.
(I did check and it is currently ranked # 79 out of 16,922 restaurants. WOW.)
and
Cuckoo Brow Inn in Sawrey, England... which has a sign that states..
"Muddy boots, wet dogs and children welcome"...
and which actually ...IS what they do allow and welcome !

All of your reviews were so informative... in both the good points...
and the bad... but regardless... of what you experienced...
you always were so fair in rating.

Out of 300 postings you show only two...with a two.
One back in 2013...and one way back in 2010.
And yes I saw that three for "terrible"...in 2011 ...you gave in Washington DC.
quite generous...
which...
made me rethink... my initial... of feeling intimidated...
to come to know... and appreciate... you very much.

I really wish... you would let me know...
how it is... that you come to travel the world...but if not.. then safe travels.

G

PS...
1... We fixed that internet "thing"... it was solved by a RESET...go figure.
2....AUSTRALIA... ...Oceana...you have not ventured into yet ?
