My husband an I just stayed there this weekend and were very happy with our accommodations. And the hotel was very pet friendly which was a huge plus. Jonathan on the maintenance staff was extremely helpful--- he went well out of his way to help us and make sure we had a great stay-- we are so grateful!!

Jonathan is new to our staff... works in maintenance... and is pleasant.

You know as well as I do...that it is those you come in contact with...

regardless of where you are as a guest or customer...
that... can make the experience pleasant...unpleasant or a "living hell".

Our employees... like all the employees at every downtown hotel...
are good people...who can "miss" or be "off"...at times...
but ....who all really care and want to be helpful.

Thanks for the good words and... without ..."reading" as corny...
we are grateful too.

The hotel was nice and 5 to 10 minutes walking distance to all the attractions, The Aquarium, CNN, The headquarters of Coca-Cola, etc and good eating places. They also offer a good breakfast and it's more than cereal, muffins, donuts and coffee. Trust me you want be disappointed. My family and I rode the megabus so we wouldn't have to worry about driving and paying to stay at the hotel plus paying extra to park and the cost was only $8.50 cent round for 4 people but we got tickets almost two months ahead of the trip. The walk from the bus stop to the hotel was less than 5 minutes how convient. We saved on gas and parking so that freed up money for other attractions and eating. I do have to admit my family and I have to get use to riding the bus but for the extra money saved to do other things we can't complain. Overall the trip was a Win Win.

"Brave"... vacationers... is the impression I got from reading your review.

Virginia my wife would use the word "adventurous"...she was impressed.
Then again... she IS adventurous....(me not)

she thinks nothing of...just heading out...even over seas...
and not worrying....and just dealing with "things".

Marion, AR (in the Memphis "area") ...is 393 miles from Atlanta..
and by planning you spent $ 17.00 per person round trip...wow!

Impressed that you saved money to use for the "other things"...
you must all... really like each other...so... "win win" it...was and is.

Reasonably priced place close to downtown and area attractions. I would recommend and plan on going back if I need a place in Atlanta. Breakfast was nice, bed was comfortable, peaceful place in a decent part of the city. The train is within walking distance making it easy and only $3.50 to get to the airport.

GREAT... is such a BIG word.... it implies we are great for everyone.

Reality is we are not for everyone...
so...
without "disrespecting" your really nice comments...

Please allow me to share with you...
that we see ourselves...more as... a good place to stay.

Non-withstanding any mistakes we might make...
or perhaps not meeting everyone's expectations..

You will find...that we will always...
take "great" care of all of our guests.

Thanks

We were in Atlanta for the SEC tourney and had made reservations at this hotel. Well, let's just say "hotel" really isn't the correct term for this facility. All the rooms open to the outside like a motel....the rooms are just stacked on top of each other. And the balcony floors are brick tile....it sounds like a metro station between the maids' carts and luggage being rolled over them. There is no control at all for the loud folks wandering the balconies at all hours of the night. Parking is a block away and $15 a day. Our room was a King, which had some issues too. The mirrors were dirty and stayed dirty until the last day. The sink didn't drain. The toilet had to be double flushed every single time. I dropped something near the bed and saw two chocolate chip cookies under the bed and they were still there when we left. Now for the positive...the desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Would I stay at this hotel/motel again....no.

Room Tip: Try to get at the end of a balcony...so the metro sound will be less.

SAD...you found the hotel....not to be...quiet and nice

You shared in...another one of your reviews...
referencing the Edgewater Hotel in Winter Garden Florida...

"it's a rare trip where we don't experience some noise'

Certainly with your attendance at the SEC Tournament
noise is expected...from the other visitors in downtown...

what is not/ was not expected were the conditions you found...
from the noisy cobblestone walkways to the cleanliness...
to the two cookies.

The cobblestone sound I am going to "fix" with this...
surface coating used at children's play areas...

what we screwed up on... was the cleanliness....
which is not common for us.

You wrote that you would not return.
I want you to give me a chance to "change" that.

SO...if you can trust me....and give me a little faith...
please contact me at...

Hotel was quiet and nice. The rooms were in excellent condition and clean. The only thing that was disturbing is the bathroom area is real small, but other than that, it was very clean also. The fitness room was in excellent condition for those of you who likes a good workout in the morning. The breakfast menu items were good, and they had a lot of items to choose from so you will not have a problem finding an item of your liking.
