I loved the Best Western Peachtrees. The staff are delightful, thoughtful and caring from management down. The room was updated and very nice. Breakfast was nice and the lady who brought snacks for our meeting was most pleasant. It is a clean hotel and you can tell they really care. Don't think twice- just do it, Stay at Best Western Peachtree in downtown Atlanta. From Pamela Solarek in Taylors SC

In this skeptical world we live in... those who will read your review will go hmmmmmm.

So in full disclosure... they should know you are an associate... at a Best Western.
Another hotel.. in located in South Carolina.

That shared... my wife Virginia and I are really happy that you enjoyed your stay.

I read all of the reviews of our reviewers to determine if they have credibility.

And in reading yours...
I came to know / understand / believe... that you don't say something...
unless it is representative of what you truly believe and experienced....
from...
your... "attitude stinks" at that restaurant in Cleveland, SC...
your... "hope it improves" but will come back...in Spruce Pine, NC...
and.... "Best steaks in the southeast, no kidding"...in Greenville, SC.

Thank you for the accolades.... and if V and me... are ever in Greenville...
we will try... that restaurant with the best steaks... you gave 5 stars...
Saskatoon Steaks and Fish Wild Game....and that steak with the bleu cheese crumble.

Nice hotel & good price for location in Atlanta. There was a very good hot breakfast buffet (eggs, sausage, grits, potatoes, & waffles). There was limited on site parking but there was additional parking near by. The biggest problem was that the curtains allowed a lot of light in at night and I couldn't sleep very well. There are several nice restaurants& attractions that are within walking distance.

Allow me to use you as a "class lesson".

As you are now aware...
I refunded you one nights room and tax for the lack of sleep you got.

There were those on my staff... who were dumbfounded yesterday...
by my having taken that action.
They thought that it was not necessary because... overall you enjoyed your stay.

I shared with them....that while "things" can go wrong at any hotel...
and we can apologize. That when it involves sleep...well that is quite different.

Any great stay... great visits to attractions... great location...great everything...
can be ruined if a guest... a traveler cannot sleep well...
and that...
that alone can make an otherwise great journey memorable for the wrong reason.

Anyway... sorry you did not sleep very well...
and yes... that room has been put out of order... until we replace the entire...
curtain and drapery assembly... so that... that room can be dark for our next guest.

Forgive us...

This hotel is located close to all the downtown attractions. The bed was extremely comfortable - firm and not worn-out. The hotel was nicely renovated and worth the price. Breakfast was better than most hotels. Our German Shepard enjoyed the stay as well and I applaud this hotel for offering the accommodation of our "child"!

I am really happy that your "child"... your German Shepard... enjoy their stay at our hotel.

We focus a lot on the "kids" our guests bring to our hotel and for others reading this...
please be aware...
that not only is their a small grass section at the Hardy Ivy park...
across the street from us... but three blocks away is Centennial Olympic Park...
where there will be a great deal more... fun... and exploring to be done.
Hmmmm that rhymes.

And for those that don't have...or want "kids"...and may be concerned...
about our rooms...
yes the "kids" have their own rooms... and our hotel is perfectly fine too...for you.
Hmmmm that rhymes too.

Staff was very friendly and helpful at check in. We were promised a court yard room, however, there were none available. The manager waiver the parking fee. First impression of room, it was very small but clean and comfortable. Great location for walking to coke, aquarium and Olympic Park. If we returned to Atlanta we would stay at the same property. Very good value.

Room Tip: Court yard would have been very nice due to early morning traffic noise.

Your wife had chicken pot pie... and you mahi...in Katowice, Poland earlier this year.
Never would have thought Poland would have chicken pot pie. How narrow minded of me.

In reading all of your reviews... it became apparent that chicken and Italian...
are a common thread wherever you travel...
and I mention this because those are the favorite of my wife Virginia and I.

I agree that here in Atlanta... Mary Mac's Tea Room... one of our oldest/respected...
restaurants in Atlanta since 1946...has among the best foods...
all because everything is prepared using just like at home...
using...for example real made fresh roasted turkey...and real mashed potatoes.

I must share that I was so intrigued by your review of the Pomodoro Grill
in your hometown of Vero Beach... where they added a hard boiled egg to the penne...
so much so...that I had to prepare it at my home...for me and my wife Virginia...
and was pleasantly surprised it was great.

In your reviews I also noted that you "favor" ...Best Westerns and Holiday Inn Express.
You stayed at the Holiday Inn Express - St. Simons Island in 2011.

We just purchased... that specific hotel... in May of 2013..
along with another one there...that we are turning into...oddly enough a Best Western.

Thanks for staying with us here in Atlanta...and next time...
I will make sure you get a courtyard side room...
You seem like really nice people.

Very clean staff very friendly if in town I would stay again. Staff called for taxi, met every request asked by our family. Great location waling distance for food and entertainment. Easy access for parking under building felt our vehicle was safe, onsite laundry, and snacks available at the front desk.

Yes we have a "very clean staff"... okay my wife Virginia is now telling me...not to be silly.

Sorry I knew what you were saying... "very clean"... and.. staff very friendly.
They are...indeed pretty good people... and really do...care.

Most every hotel in downtown Atlanta ....
has pretty good people working with them...who also care...
and....
whichever hotel...other travelers who come to Atlanta choose to stay...
they will find... the experience pretty good. And that is good for all of us.

So... thanks for choosing us.

Spent weekend here to attend Taste of Atlanta which was about a mile away. Hotel is easy walk from Civic Center MARTA stop and while it fronts a main road, it sits nestled on a fairly quiet street. Restaurants and other nightlife are walkable in 30-40 minutes or a 10 minute cab ride. The room access is outdoors rather than inside hallway. There is reasonable cost parking ($17 day) in a gated, underground lot. Check-in was easy and quick with polite desk personnel. Just off the lobby is the breakfast area which has plenty of seating, a good food selection especially for complimentary fare, but the serving area is a bit cramped.

The rooms (we were on 3rd floor courtyard) are SMALL but clean. They appear to have some recent updates such as bath vanity area, TVs, individual quiet heating/air system, and beds but the carpets appear worn and dated and the desk area could use a facelift. The bathroom is very small and has room for one person with a toilet and stand-up shower. There is a small closet WITH a safe. Our room also had a refrigerator.

This is not a 5 star hotel but it is clean, comfortable, safe, with well trained staff, and an excellent value in a good location. I would stay here again and recommend it as a practical place to stay in Atlanta.

Room Tip: Higher floors away from Peachtree street.

Alright... so it appears that you are a person who knows and enjoys fine dining... great.

I read all of the reviews of our reviewers and in particular found your review...
on Earls in Alberta... to be rather well written.

SO...the relevance here is...that... you can be trusted in your reviews.
I am pleased that you came to Atlanta for the weekend... for the "Taste of Atlanta".
That specific food and beverage weekend is one of my favorites too.

Glad that you found our hotel good and that you had a nice time.

As for the small rooms.... yes... we have small rooms...
of the 16 major hotels here in downtown Atlanta.....11 of us have smaller rooms...
having been built quite some time ago...and all of these fine hotels... are great too.

Continued happy travels as you add to your 59,180 miles travelled so far !

Thanks

this is a very nice hotel with a great staff. it is right downtown within walking distance of pretty much anywhere you would want to go downtown. the aquarium, and olympic park are just a few blocks away. the underground and capital are within 7 blocks and there is plenty of fantastic places to dine all around. the cost of the hotel was very reasonable. there is secure on sight parking and easy excess to the highway (75/85).

My wife Virginia... lived in Billings, Montana... and is her favorite place in US ...want's to go back.
She lived there for three years with her horses...I am curious... as to why you were there?

Anyway... I see in your other reviews,,, that you have chosen to use Best Western...
to stay at when you travel... and with one exception...Biloxi... you have been pleased.

Thank you for having stayed with us and that "things" were good.
