“Attentive Staff”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 1, 2013

I arrived at 1:15am after a stressful travel in the rain.
The hotel had impeccable bedside manner...From check in to check out...The staff was just thorough.Professional..very warm and sincere...we felt like we were at grandmas...the lobby restroom had fresh cut flowers that brighten anyones day..the entire staff was very accomodating and offered umbrellas to keep us dry.Complimentary breakfast was scrumptious...tazo tea and honey for me.Good soap, lotion and conditioners, nice alarm clock,etc.etc.etc... all of these things worked for me..
Need I say more??I plan to return...

"We felt like we were at Grandmas".... grandmas house .... okay...we have a grandma.

Yvonne Jobson...is a grandma...and our Front Office Manager...
and yes...now that you point it out...to me...
she is the very essence of...the nuturing and love that you get at grandmas house.

She treats everyone...including me...like family...
but...
I...haven't always...responded to her as I should...
my excuse...reason...honestly is...
that I am always..."processing numbers"...
looking at financials...worried about stable / consistent cash flow...blah blah blah.

Yvonne...and Joelle my Assistant...are good people...
and...
good people...surround themselves with good people...
and take care of them.

Thank you for...making that grandma comment...I will do better...
in looking at what really matters... those surrounding me...

Stayed at this hotel for one night and would not have been able to stay another night. Our room was located outside on the main road. Should have asked for another room (even though the hotel was booked with many guests) but got in very late from traveling and thought we would be alright for one night. Upon arriving, we were not sure where to park at so we asked the front desk and were told we needed to pay for parking $15 for the night. The hotel room was very clean and small but made good use of the space. Since we had an outdoor room we were up all night due to the noise coming from people walking and loitering on the street outside our room. We had to get up twice to ask people to please be quiet. There was a full breakfast in the morning which was great and the staff was great as well. Great location for us visiting the aquarium since it was in walking distance.

Room Tip: Ask for an indoor room

You're absolutely right... ask for an inside room or the inside courtyard location.

Regretfully... the night you stayed... it would have made no difference.

We had a city wide convention in Atlanta... and while the participants...
were all really good natured, happy people...they were noisy / gabby.

That stated...you were not part of that event...

and while you had an overall good stay.... visiting the Aquarium...
your sleep was interrupted.

That makes me feel bad...
so...contact me at.... gdvelis@innatthepeachtrees.com

I will make "things" right....and make it up to you.

Thanks for mentioning the great staff.....

One of the Atlanta Ambassadors directed me to this terrific hotel as I emerged from the MARTA station at Peachtree Center. It's convenient, affordable, and staffed with friendly employees. My room was completely modernized with really cool decorator touches (i.e. bedside lamps that both lit the area and had a flexible reading light). Even the bathroom was totally modern complete with granite counters, new fixtures, and was super clean (no trace of any stains/mold/dirt). I'm glad that the Ambassador told me about Best Western Plus here in downtown Atlanta and I will be sure to stay here on my subsequent visits.

Room Tip: All rooms have exterior doors despite an interior front entrance. Even facing the main street, ther...

First....thank you for the five "star" review. Fours and fives really help our ranking.

That stated...I must confess...
that your posting...which became "visible" at ...9:58pm last night...
sent all of us here into "scramble mode"...for an hour....
when...Joelle my AGM...
texted me to inform me....we got a five review.

Why?....well...(forgive me here)...it didn't read like a real review.

The words chosen...were so descriptive...so "forensic".

SO...I had her go onto our operating system...
to "find you" on our records..and....she did.
She also called the agents who checked you in and out...
that...perhaps...was...excessive on my part...but they remembered you.

As mentioned at the begining...
all GM's....pray for 5's and 4's....
yes...a GM should not have to" pray"...if we "earn it"...no prayers should be needed.
but...that's the way....it is.

As for your comment about the Atlanta Ambassadors...
yes....those representatives of the city...
who...walk the downtown area....wearing those white pith helmets...
are....really great at...helping...directing...visitors...to all of the attractions and restaurants.

Glad they suggested us....glad you had a nice stay....

This hotel has indoor and outdoor rooms, stay inside. The place had great customer service in all forms. From the front desk to housekeeping, I was welcomed and accommodated immensely! The place was clean, and in a great location of the downtown/midtown area which allowed me to get around Atlanta quickly. The people who I interacted with who had amazing customer service were Jamila, Donnell, Yvonne, Greta (that I remember by name). However, literally, EVERYONE was pleasant and helpful! The only thing that was not great quality was the tub floor. I was in 2 separate rooms, and the tub floors were not as new as the shower head, which was AMAZING!!

Room Tip: Stay in the inside rooms. The outdoor rooms make it feel very motel like. It feels like a totally di...

Thanks for this review....it made for a really nice way to end the day. Happy.

As for those tub floors...really sorry about that.

We have been experiencing a problem...
with....some tubs... "peeling"...

and....thankfully the company that did the work...
had....guaranteed it...and true to their word..they are being redone.

Everything was good at check-in, but was surprised to find that you had toleave interior and go to exterior of hotel to enter your room. When we arrived at assigned room, keys to door would not open door. During enter stay, I had to keep getting room key recoded as one worked, the other did not. Staff informed me that keys deactivate if placed near other objects, so I only kept keys in sleeve and away from everything else, but still did not correct problem. Room door itself would not completely close and lock due to a damaged door. I addressed this matter with the Manager, who was very responsive and helpful. Breakfast here was good, but the staff made it excellent because of their courteous and welcoming spirits. I would be willing to stay again just because of the staff.

In honor of the OSCAR's...tonight.....you win for... BEST heading.

Every guest... expects the hotel they booked....to be as expected....
and they should......
but..."things" go wrong....even at the best hotels.

Of the 194 hotels in this category...for Atlanta...
I personally know of only....under 30....who don't care.

No General Manager enjoys reading Trip Advisor Comments...
that go on and on...
about how "awful' their hotels are...
because I know they do care....and have great employees....like us.

So...
thank you for being...what we Managers expect/pray for....
a good guest....
who made a point...allowed us to fix it...(we replaced the door and lock)

Then....forgave us...
recognized the positive things and good people who work here.
and...
let the positive's allow you to state...for every reading this...
that you would come back.

This Best Western Inn was great value. I was here for a convention, which arranged shuttle service from very near the Inn to the Convention centre. The BW Inn room looked onto an inner courtyard, so be prepared for the temperature outside. However, the room itself was well equipped and well maintained. Sleeping was very comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was a pleasant surprise, serving eggs and other hot dishes in addition to the continental fare one typically expects. The breakfast room staff were incredibly nice. The same can be said for the front desk staff, who offered excellent advice about very nearby restaurants for dinner. For those with a need to do some shopping, Peachtree street was literally a 2 minute walk out the door of the Inn.
For those interested in tourist activities, the walk from the Inn to the Coca Cola Museum and the Georgia Aquarium is around 10-15 minutes.

Really glad....that you had a good time in Atlanta...and our hotel.

All the places you visited...The Aquarium....World of Coke....
are rather unique...and indeed really close.

Also glad you enjoyed your meal at Max Lager's Brewery
across from our hotel....it's one of my favorities.

Thanks for the nice comments.

To start off with the positive: the rooms have been redone very nicely and the customer service is very friendly - especially Yvonne in the breakfast area. What I didn't like: the rooms opened up onto the street, making me feel unsafe and making the traffic noise ridiculous. I've taken a picture to add to this review so that you can see how close the door of your room is to the sidewalk There is no security door or gate protecting the rooms from those who are not staying on premises. There is no fan in the room loud enough to even begin to drown out the traffic noises and the sounds coming from the rooms beside and above you. For the basic info: there is no microwave in the rooms, but there is one available in the breakfast area. There is a refrigerator in the room. There is no bathtub, only a shower. The sink/vanity is separate from the toilet/shower room. Free wifi, but very slow. A good location, 10 minutes walk to aquarium and World of Coke, 5 minute walk to AmericaMart, 20-25 minute walk to Georgia Dome and CNN center. A good restaurant/bar across the street. Breakfast is the usual buffet, nothing special. Beds are comfortable, but small (doubles, not queens). $15.00/day parking charge - not on premises. Definitely would try somewhere different next time.

Room Tip: High floor away from the street.

Your review of our property...as are all of your hotel reviews...accurate and spot on.

You opened your commentary with the positives...that is a mark of a class act.

Some reviewers start off with negatives....
in what I perceive as "attention grabbers"...
then they ramble on and on....and on.....

pretty much like I do...
did...
in my response to the previous review....my wife...says to 'keep it short"...
obviously....I failed to listen...as that response was ridiculously long.

SO...
in an attempt to keep this short...

Every hotel ...has...its...their....last sell rooms.

We have 5 rooms on the first floor facing that noisy street.
I do not like them...would not stay in them...
but....for...very "odd" reasons...they are specifically asked for by some.

I called the owner this morning...said..."help"...
and he agreed......to install a gate door access...
and install sound proof glass on those rooms.

I know you usually stay at Hyatt Place, Marriott, Embassy Suites and Indigo...
all...fantastic hotels....glad you gave us a chance...sorry it was not pleasant.
