“great location! great service!”
Reviewed January 26, 2013

We spent only one night at the BWP but it made an impression on us. We were thinking of returning to Atlanta for Spring Break with the children and will definately stay here again.

Very helpful and kind staff, both at the front desk and during morning breakfast. Breakfast was a good selection of breads, bagels, fresh donuts, eggs, grits, sausage, yogurt, fruit. Hot tea, coffee as well as several types of juice were also available.

Our king sized bed room was clean and the bathroom had a rain shower head. Loved the free Wi-fi. Parking at the hotel was easy and we gladly paid the hotel price ($15) to know that the car was in a locked garage and safe. Compared to other recent hotel stays the parking fee was a bargain!

FIRST....thank you for the really nice commentary.

BACK to you...in a moment....

DISCLAIMER...for those reading this review...
honestly.....I did not ask this guest...or any guest...ever...
to...comment on the parking...and the parking fee.

That stated...honestly too...I really am happy that...this guest and the previous one too...
made comments.

We have to charge for parking...every hotel around us...all 16 have to charge...
because we are in a major city downtown....
and the fees go to the owners those lots.

OKAY...
that done...

BACK to you....our guest/reviewer...

Glad that you enjoyed...Max Lager's Brewery across the street.

They do offer great beers...and yes their chicken...is really great.
I have never had...
their....root beeer float with vanilla ice cream...
did not know...they brewed their own root beer...sounds interesting...
and...I will try one....

That stated...
as for...
family liking that tofu....at Liquid Ginger in Gainsville...
and wanting you to cook it at home...
hmmmmm....
I think I will pass on that one

Look forward to seeing you return...
on Spring Break...

Checked out on 1/23 from a wonderful 5 night stay at the BWP @ the Peachtrees. I have personally stayed in many hotels around the world, and I would have to say that the Customer Service at this Best Western Plus is hands down superior. Each morning I was greeted by name when I stepped off the elevator. There were two amazing women who took care of cooking our breakfast (which by the way was hot and delicious). These two women were so very kind. In fact I generally bring my own flavored creamer for my coffee, and ran out the third day. She actually offered to go to CVS and buy me some. Who does that???

I was on this trip for the Professional Photographer's Association's Imaging USA, and there were 3 of us that shared a double room. For 3 people we were a little tight, but not horrible by an means. The AC/Heat unit worked very well. The bathroom and sink area outside of the bathroom was nice and clean. Our beds were very comfortable. The linens smelled fresh and clean. All of the surfaces in the room were very clean. Even the clicker for the TV is sanitized for each new guest.

I would personally like to publicly thank Michell Lovett who is the Exec. Housekeeper. You really trained your staff well. Yvonne Jobson who is the Front Office Manager who was so friendly and aware of all of her guests needs. Joelle Dunn, Asst. GM, was just a sweetheart. Officer J.S. Lencreot, one of Atlanta's finest who assists with security and pointed us in the right direction for great food was so friendly and helpful. The wonderful gentlemen who worked the evening and night shift were also amazing, and I wish I could remember names to thank them as well. But they know who they are, as every single employee I came in contact with were outstanding!

The manager/owner of this Best Western should be very proud of his staff. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are business traveler to people who have a family. This hotel is very close and in walking distance to the Georgia Dome, Georgia Aquarium, Olympic Park and the Georgia World Congress Center. It's easy to get to right off I85. The area is quiet and quite secure, and walking distance to some nice coffee houses and eateries.

Room Tip: All rooms face the outdoors. The rooms facing the courtyard were very quiet when we were there, but...

Sometimes...a simple thank you...is called for...and so first...thank you.

That stated....
I read all of your othe hotel reviews.

YES...as far back as March 23rd...
when you stayed at the Microtel Inn in Hagerstown.

All of your reviews...
were as detailed as the one you wrote on us...
and....
in each of those...
POSITIVE reviews ...
you also gave...
"spot on"... helpful hints for others...that may be considering staying there.

AND...
it was really nice....that you..."defended"...that parking fee...
a fee...
we HAVE TO CHARGE....
because...
it goes to the owner of the lots.

SO...for you to point...
that it.....does mean guest cars are secure in a closed lot...
and...
that other major cities...including ours...
can.....
do charge up to...$ 30 dollars a night...
was.....
something that I truely appreciate....
because...
I..."take a beating"...on that topic...regularly.

AS FOR....your comment...
the manager..."should be very proud of his staff"...
YES..........I am...

This location is an excellant location in downtown Atlanta, Ga. It is about a 5 minute walk from the MARTA Civic Center subway station or about a 8 minute walk from the Peachtree Center station, although it is eaiser to find from Civic Center station.

I actually did not have a reservation and arrived a couple of hours before their checkin. The front desk staff was very friendly and found me a room without any prob for 3 nights & actually let me relax in their quiet lobby with my luggage till my room was ready.

Their complementary breakfast is fantastic and is served 7 days a week with everything from waffles to cereal to eggs and assorted meats. Had a great stay and highly reccomend this location.

I read all... of your three hotel reviews ...and in each there is such a kindness in tone.

I don't know why I was compelled to state that.

I mean...I have read many good/great reviews...
on our hotel...
and I know...all were/ sincere.... and... I liked what they said...
and appreciate those very ...very much...

but.....

Anyway...if you visit/stay with us again....

We were booked at The Hyatt and was late checking in, they sent us here as they rented our room.
We were thrown into a TINY parking garage, thankfully we had driven a Ford Ranger, which barely fit in the space.
The room was the smallest room I had ever seen. You can literally lay on one bed and hold hands with someone on the other hand.
The bathroom was just a JOKE but at least it was clean for the most part.
We were given a street side room.... (lucky us) and we did not sleep all night. Between the beeping of the big trucks backing up, the street noise, and lastly the people on the street walking by... it honestly sounded like we were sleeping in the street.

Great breakfast bar and coffee was exceptional!

Room Tip: DO NOT allow them to put you street side on the bottom floor.

Sorry we gave you a night of hell. I am refunding the money you gave us.

I know only too well...in my own travels...how sometimes...
things...go wrong...
and continue to go wrong...and that is an excruciating thing....
and you wonder..."pray'..."hell ends"...

YES...I read your review on the Hampton Inn...
where you stayed...earlier this month...
and things there too...did not go well...
and you are right....Hampton is an outstanding brand.

THEN...your come to Atlanta...
and..
get bumped....
from the Hyatt across the street...
and ending up with us...
I can understand is a departure from what you expected.

The Hyatt is a great hotel...and with those large suites...
even our largest rooms...cannot compare.

Regretfully....
because we were running a full house also...

we had only one room left...
and....that ONE...
is one of only five smaller rooms..
we have...
in this building of 109 rooms.

Oddly....while these are small...
they are among...
the most popular ones...
just because....they do face the main downtown street.

me personally...
well....I don't like them....
but as you stated..
the room and bathroom...were modern and clean.

Anyway...I understand that it is unlikely you will ever return...
but...
please know...that are very sorry...you did not get a good impression.

We are a good hotel...and our staff/employees...are really nice...
I really just wish..."things"...had gone better...

The location was convenient to many attractions and most importantly the event we were attending. The best thing about the Best Western at the Peachtrees was the service we received from the Hotel staff. The management was awesome, the cleaning staff was accomodating to our schedule. The lady working the breakfast buffet was one of the best of all. we missed the breakfast our first morning and she went back to the kitchen area and brought my son and I a plate of breakfast anyway. It would have been easier for her to say that she was sorry and breakfast was over but she served us anyway. Her name was Yvonne. Also, we extended our stay through the Best western for one more night when we arrived and Yvonne (another lady named Yvonne), was able to help us with that for a reduced rate only for us to learn that we would actually have to cancel at the last minute. She canceled our last night stay and we were not charged any fees.

All of our employees are named Yvonne...okay....maybe not all.

These two...Yvonne in breakfast and Yvonne our Front Office Manager...
represent the best of the best...
and we are... blessed / fortunate to have 23 others on our staff...
who really care too.

We are a small hotel...
and that I find makes for a "personal" feel...
for our guests...and...for all of us who work here.

A job...I know...is simply a job...
but...
for me...and my staff...well...we like coming to work.

Amazing...this makes three times...that word has appeared in 30 days.

Truth is......we are not...that amazing.

We are though... a good place to stay...
and...
while we will not satisfy every one...
with what we have/offer...
I believe...
we have...
good value in relation to...
the price one pays...for a downtown location.

And the people who work here...
ARE good people...

And....while they screw up at times....
as I do...
they do a lot of great things for our guests...
so...yes...
I agree... "amazing" they are.

SO...thanks for that word.
