I stayed at this charming hotel for a few days a year ago and will be staying there again next week. I wouldn't think of staying anywhere else now! The staff are super helpful and friendly. The building is old and quaint, reminiscent of hotels in Europe. This is not a chain hotel, so don't expect the sterile surroundings of a Holiday Inn etc.! The location is great too! You can walk to restaurants, stores and a park after you enjoy breakfast! Oh, and there is a very friendly resident cat who likes to hang out at the front desk and in the lounge!

Room Tip: Ask to be placed at the back of the hotel far from the noise if there is a function scheduled.

Had a great time at the Highland in Atlanta, with a few minor issues. The shower was really bad when it came to temp management, but this may have just been our room. The front desk staff could not have been more helpful! They were great. If you stay there you have two areas in walking distant's for good restaurants or shops.I would stay there again.

I must say I was impressed by this hotel, the outside is very nice, its in a really good location next door to cafes, and small boutique stores, very artsy I loved the area very much. this is no corp. hotel, its very old school( but modern), they still use keys I love it lol. free wifi, cable, and wonderful staff. I have nothing bad to say about this place, I would stay here again no doubt.

Stayed only for one night in this quaint inn. It's right next door to Cafe 360 and I was able to have a business dinner there, fabulous food and service and then walk about 50 steps to my room. Old hotel for sure but I like that kind of thing. Had everything I needed, even a blowdryer and breakfast included!

We were in Atlanta for a brief stay. This Inn is quite charming, reminiscent of the early colonial style of building. If you like character, you will be pleasantly pleased with the Inn and the surrounding neighborhood. Location was great, ten minutes to the Aquarium, Freedom Park and gorgeous Victorian homes are within walking distance. The only aspect that you should be aware of is that there is no central heat in the Inn. They did provide a portable heater, but it was a cold rainy night - we had a suite - and it was barely warm enough in our room. Otherwise, it is a nice place to stay for the money. If you are looking to be pampered, not recommended. If you want a decent , clean place for the night, this is the Inn for you.

Room Tip: Make sure you get a room away from the nightclub located next door.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us! We appreciate your feedback and use it to help in the areas that need improving. Our neighborhood is wonderful and we are glad that you agree. Thank you for also recognizing the character and charm of our building, we like to think it sets us apart.

As far as the heat is concerned, we do have central steam heat but we are in the beginning stages of phasing it out. When we turn it on, it heats the entire hotel and since the weather has been pretty mild, we have been leaving it off and providing space heaters in the interim. By next Fall/Winter each room will have an individual unit so guests will have the ability to adjust the temperature to their liking. This change was brought about due to guest suggestions such as yours.

Again, thank you for your review. We hope you will stay with us again the next time you are in Atlanta!

We got a deal for this inn on Half Off Depot. We were not sure what to expect. It is conveniently located, we walked to a great restaurant for dinner and then to a yogurt place afterwards. We asked the staff for chairs to sit out front to people watch. They graciously accommodated us.
The building is old and quaint. Loved our room. Exceptionally clean and comfortable.
Would be worth full value for another in town night.
Haven't had the breakfast yet so can not comment.

Room Tip: We had a concrete wall outside our 2 windows. Our friends had a bright window overlooking a courtya...

Hot spot in the Highland Neighborhood. Hotel is old, but it serves the purpose of giving you a place to sleep. You're never there anyways. I can't believe you get breakfast for the low price you pay. You can't beat it!

Room Tip: Try to get something in the center rather than on the outer - a lot of plumbing noise.
