We love the location of this hotel. Being pet friendly is a bonus. Not much area for exercising our dogs, but we walked 2 blocks away to a residential area, and found plenty of grassy areas. The rooms are small but well appointed. We had a corner room this time, a little more space. Bathrooms are so small, you could shower, brush your teeth and use the toilet all at the same time. The shower is kind of cool though.

We received exceptional service through out our stay from Eddy at the front desk and Taylor in the restaurant/bar area. I would like to commend them for the excellent job they do. They made our stay in Atlanta better.

Hi there jkdaves,
Many thanks to you for the nice review about your experiences here at Hotel Indigo Atlanta Midtown. We aim to please our human guests and our canine guests as well. Midtown does have several great places to walk and exercise. For letting Rover get a little bathroom break, there is an open grassed lot next to the hotel and for those looking for exercise and adventure, an easy 1 mile walk has you at Piedmont Park, which also has a dog park. Great fun for people and pups alike! We look forward to your next stay with us and thank you again for saying you love Hotel Indigo Atlanta Midtown! Safe travels, Gabriele Webster

This is considered a "boutique hotel" which I think is code words for small rooms. But, overall it was a nice basic hotel. Rooms were cute and clean. Work out room is great, really nice equipment. They were very accommodating changing our room so that we'd have one with a bathtub for my toddler and just one bed so we have more room. Staff was friendly. Location is good, lots of eating/drinking options near by and a short drive to just about anywhere in the city. Only downfall was the parking, $25/day (They don't have their own parking so you have to use the garage for the hotel next door). Crazy! We were just there for the night so we parked in a lot across the street for $16. Over all this was worth it for us though because we got it on Priceline for less than you'd pay for a motel 6! :)

Room Tip: Just ask for what you need and they should be able to accommodate you.

Hello Mrsmrs09 from Greenback, TN -
It is nice of you to share you comments and experience from your recent stay at Hotel Indigo Atlanta Midtown. I am happy to hear you got a great deal and loved your experience. Parking is more expensive in the city for sure. The parking deck we use next to the hotel is convenient, protects guests and their vehicle from the elements and has 24 hour security, so that is why we recommend it for our guests. The prices are comparable to most hotels in the area and less than downtown hotels that average $30 per night. Your insider tip about the parking across the street is helpful for those looking for extra savings and is still close to the hotel. The neighborhood is full of great options and I hope you will visit again soon to try some of the local restaurants or entertainment venues that surround the hotel. Warm regards, Gabriele Webster

We spent a weekend recently in Atlanta and stayed at the Hotel Indigo. It is located across the street from the Fox Theater, and we had a great view of that very strange, pseudo-Moorish building. The hotel is extremely cool, with a relatively young crowed (we felt almost hip just by staying there).

Caren T from Statesboro, GA -
You ARE hip! Thank you for your excellent review of Hotel Indigo Atlanta Midtown! I notice you are a senior contributor to TripAdvisor, so I am even more proud of the five star rating you gave Hotel Indigo Atlanta Midtown! We agree with you and appreciate it when others experience our hotel and our warm and friendly approach to attentive and superior service. The Fox Theatre inspired our design and our neighborhood story, which dates back to the mid-1920's. Come again and check out jazz at Churchill's (across the street) or a fantastic Italian or Mexican culinary experience at Baraonda or Escorpion - both just a few steps from the hotel. Thank you again for your review and we can't wait to welcome you back soon! Warm regards, Gabriele Webster

Renovated older building, and they did they best they could with available rooms and materials.
Although the rooms are small-ish, they are well-appointed and generally have decent street views.
Seems like a bit of a party destination, and the walls are thin enough that you just might end up joining their fun, whether you really wanted to or not.
Staff was very friendly and responsive.
Would consider staying again because it was so convenient to everything.

The hotel Indigo is a great place to stay - our first experience - never heard of them before. Yes the bathroom is tiny, but this was manageable. The shower is large enough but the space in between the sink and toilet is tight. The bathroom could benefit from some sort of shelving since the space around the sink is limited. I guess this is the worst part of the room and we knew this going in. We don't spend that much time in the room anyway. The staff is wonderful and gave us excellent directions and help since it was our first visit. We were able to walk to the Georgia aquarium and World of Coke, an ~ 20 to 30 min walk. I would stay here again and we are looking forward to a return trip to Atlanta in the near future.

Hello travelmama55,
Welcome! We are thrilled to hear this was your first Hotel Indigo Experience. How appropriate that your first stay is with the very first Hotel Indigo in the world, Hotel Indigo Atlanta Midtown. The bathrooms are quaint but practical as you noted. For the shelf space, we added the table and large mirror just outside bathroom to give guests extra prep space to look great for their day of exploring Atlanta. It's nice to hear you were able to enjoy two great attractions like World of Coke and the Georgia Aquarium. You are also walking distance to the High Museum of Art, the Atlanta Symphony, amazing dining and fun night spots and of course the iconic fabulous Fox Theatre is right across the street, to name just a few more fun things to do in our neighborhood. I encourage you to visit us again, but also would love for you to explore any of the over 50 Hotel Indigos throughout the world. Thanks for staying and sharing! Warm regards, Gabriele Webster

This hotel is one of my favorites. I knew they were pet friendly, but Hotel Indigo certainly goes above and beyond any expectations. Upon check in they gave my kitties a Sherpa pet bed and porcelain dish for food and water. The room also had a goody basket with various items for pets. The rooms are very modern the theme in ours was ocean views, the furniture was white and linens were blue, the walls were painted as if we were under the sea with dolphins, fish and sea plants. The front desk is very helpful and courteous and always asked how everything was going for us and out cats. Very beautiful décor all throughout, even the elevators were impressive. All and all this hotel gets an excellent rating from me.

This is a great hotel and the staff really looked after me. Other reviews have noted that the bathrooms are a wee bit small. But this makes sure the rooms are a decent size. Plus, I don't need to spend a lot of time in the bathroom anyway.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone. It is close to public transport. Taxi's are easy to find. Parking is just behind the hotel. What more could you want/need?
