“Quiet surprise in Midtown”
Reviewed September 30, 2012

What a refreshing change from the big box chain hotels. Terrific service, clean and bright rooms. You would never know how old the building is by the way it's maintained and how it's been updated with such contemporary decor. Stay in a loft and you'll have a separate living room and kitchen all to yourself!

I had a great, too-brief stay at the Artmore. I arrived late and was very kindly upgraded to a lovely suite. The folks at the front desk were incredibly friendly and helpful, even after I'd checked out and had some annoying mail-related problems, which they sorted out quickly and with outstanding service. I can't recommend the Artmore highly enough.

This was our first stay since the property became the Artmore. Loved it before but fell in love with it's metamorphosis.

From the minute we pulled up we were treated with first class service not just for show but genuinely friendly and helpful. The front desk was thoughtful and efficient. Our room was clean and bright with a fresh coat of brilliant white throughout. Ours came with a little kitchenette area which came in quite handy for us. The bathroom was extremely tight for 2 but was adequate for our needs and had Aveda products which made me happy. (No shower caps though.) The lobby decor is modern but has a warm and inviting feel...you just wanted to sit and linger...which opened into the bar area...where we did linger over well crafted cocktails with friends. I was happy to see that the courtyard area was retained in the renovation. I love having this open air area to relax or entertain. That space distinguishes from other hotels. The fitness area is small but provides the basic for an away from home workout.

We would highly recommend this hotel those those looking for a Mid-town location. It is close to the MARTA and the Arts Center. We look forward to staying again on our next trip to Atlanta.

A quiet, old fashioned hotel with a bit more "soul" than your run of the mill hotel. I stayed here for three nights and had no problem whatsoever.

Friendly staff and charming, albeit old, rooms.

Would stay again.

Peter W, thank you for your feedback. The property was built in 1924 and while the history has been maintained and refreshed over the years it still offers a lot character. We are glad that it is appreciated and look forward to your next visit.

Safe travels until then.

We took our 4 yr old to Atlanta for a quick weekend trip and stayed at the Artmore. This hotel is charming and just lovely. They have paid extra attention to all of the little touches and it shows. Yes, as some previous reviewers have noted, the floors squeek and the rooms are layed out differently than a traditional hotel room but that is all part of the charm. The staff was wonderful. When we found that most of the drinks from the drink machine were sold out, one of the staff took us to the employee break room so we could get drinks from there. The staff was very friendly and, as is important to me, didn't bother us at all. Everyone had a smile and were eager to help with anything we asked for. The courtyard at night is not to be missed. So peaceful and relaxing that my son fell asleep in my arms as we sat by the fire in the very comfy chairs. The valet was quick and very efficient. Check in/out was fast and the location is great. You can walk to restaurants, the MARTA pretty much anything you would need. We are already planning a return for a romantic getaway for my husband and myself. We were just thrilled with the Artmore.

Room Tip: Our room was in the back of the hotel. I imagine if you have a room in the front there may be road...

We stayed at the Artmore for Music Midtown 2012. The decor was chic, the staff was welcoming and quick (even on a high-volume weekend), and the location was perfect for the music festival. We were right across from the Arts Center Metro station, but we soon realized we were within walking distance of the festival itself and dozens of great restaurants and bars. The Spanish exterior belies the modern interior decor--our room featured Audrey Hepburn and Mick Jagger pop art. The mini bar and in-room dining options were broad and very reasonably priced.

This hotel is perfect for couples, singles, and friends. Make sure to set aside some time before or after dinner to stop in the bar or relax in the beautiful courtyard. I will definitely be suggesting this hotel to friends, and I hope to find another boutique that compares when I visit other cities.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that is either not on the first floor, or at least not on the hallway closest to the...

The Artmore Hotel is beautiful and near everything in midtown -- the High Museum, Center for Puppetry Arts, right next to Center Stage, a half a mile from Opera Nightclub. The hotel staff is very professional and helpful -- especially Jelly in the bar -- and the rooms are not cookie-cutter franchise squares. Very nice.
