We love eating at the bar at Ecco. Great people watching and great service. We rarely order an entree but munch through the appetizer menu instead. Wine list is extensive and atmosphere is perfect.

We had dinner at Ecco, pre-theatre, and it was a great decision.
The ambiance is very cool and upscale, but also casual... and had a really nice vibe.
The menu is very different.. and in a good way! The food is outstanding.

But I have to say, that what really sets Ecco apart, is the fantastic service! We were treated extremely well by everyone we encountered. I want to give "props" to Carmen, our outstanding server.

highly recommend.

Ecco is a winner, plain and simple. If you are already in Midtown, there is no reason not to try it. And if you are in the burbs, it is worth the trip into town. You will be glad you did.

I especially loved the fried goat cheese balls with honey and cracked pepper! The atmosphere is kind of loud but upbeat. The open kitchen is a plus too.

Looking for a nice restaurant for dinner ahead of a performance at the Fox Theater (downtown) proved to be a daunting task. Many of the closest restaurants had poor reviews of either their food or their service (or both). Wanting to find a place reasonably close, and yet worth the time and money, we took the advice of some friends and tried Ecco. I was first impressed with Mark who graciously took our reservation for four, even though the options for our preferred time were not available through Open Table.

We arrived late (thanks to Atlanta traffic), and yet were welcomed and seated immediately. The service was excellent - attentive and helpful without being overbearing. The menu was very good - perfect for a meal ahead of a show. The food tasted awesome - especially the goat cheese and grilled shrimp appetizers. While we shared the pizzas, one would be sufficient for someone with a healthier appetite.

Given that we needed to get to the show on time, we were very pleased with the timing of the meal - a great pace. The restaurants location just a few blocks north of the Fox was an added plus, as was the free valet parking for restaurant guests!

Whether attending a show or not, I would highly recommend this great downtown Atlanta restaurant!
