I recently stayed at the Hampton Inn for a business trip and was very surprised. I have never stayed at a Hampton Inn but i must say that i will stay again. When we first arrived the staff was super friendly and welcomed us in every way. We were not familar with the area so the shuttle service was perfect for going out to dinner. I love the fact that they were just super friendly and the room was perfect!!! The gym was small but good enough for us to get a workout. It was super clean and we had no issues during our stay!

This Hampton Inn meets that standard expected from all these hotel types. A good lobby area to lounge in, free breakfest, and a comfortable bed. The location is right next to the Tech campus and is easy walking distance to both Midtown and Downtown and unlike an equivalent hotel a few blocks to the east this one is in a safe area. The coke hq is next door too if that is the business you are in ATL on. The only gripe I have is that a Hampton Inn is usually not designed to be a super luxury hotel- so it is more then a little annoying that valet parking is the only option

I stayed at the Hampton Inn adjacent to Georgia Tech when visiting Atlanta for a concert. The location is excellent. It's a 4-block walk to the World of Coke and Georgia Aquarium. The hotel, upon learning that many guests were going to the same concert, offered to run the hotel's shuttle to the show at the Georgia Dome. It ended up that massive traffic prevented this, but it was a nice and unexpected gesture. So we walked to the venue, which was about an easy 6 blocks.

Our room was a basic room and was clean. There was only a stand-up shower -- no tub -- but that was not a big deal to us. We had a first-floor room with a window that looked out on a major street, but there was, surprisingly, no noise to contend with. The continental breakfast had a nice selection. I would easily stay here again.

We stayed the weekend at this Hampton Inn right at the Georgia Tech campus. It was very busy with the Va. Tech-Alabama game as well as Ga. Tech having a home game that saturday as well. The room was comfortable and clean. My son and his friend found a room with flat panel TV's and video game systems which certainly helped pass the time.

Our room was on the street but I never heard any noise. Check in and out was very smooth and the staff was very nice, the nicest I've been around in some time. You do have to pay $15 for valet parking, but they took very good care of our vehicle and all of the guys working the valet service were very nice to myself, wife, and children.

We came back late friday night from the Braves game and again the valet service and hotel staff were so nice and inquired about the Braves game.

If I have to go back to Atlanta, I wouldnt hesitate to stay here again.

We stayed here while traveling home from vacation. It was easy to check in but you have to pay $15 for valet parking which is literally 15 feet from the entrance. The front desk was accomodating to our requests but not overly friendly. The rooms were small. Our first room was on the North Avenue side and the traffic woke my daughter up three times as well as the noisy air conditioner. We moved rooms at 10:30pm and when I finally got her settled back to sleep the fire alarm went off a 11:30pm. Front desk said it was a false alarm but it was quite annoying. The temperature in the hallways stays on 81 which was extremely hot. You sweat walking from your room to the elevators! No laundry on site. Okay if you are passing through but I don't recommend it for more than one night. Hotel room was clean but the carpets were filthy. Our feet were black by the end of the night.

Stayed here with my daughter while she visited Georgia Tech. It is right across the street from Tech and extremely close to admissions. You can also walk to the aquarium (.7 miles) and CNN center (just a bit further). Hotel was clean and security was very good. It was as nice as any Hampton Inn we have stayed at in the past. Only weird thing was we came back to the room at one PM and it was not cleaned. We went out again and it was done when we got back. This was a Sunday so I’m sure the staff was at a minimum. That was the only ding I have on this hotel. Other nice thing is the MARTA station is .5 miles from the hotel (walk takes you right past Varsity restaurant – see restaurant listings) so we saved $52 bucks plus tip taking the subway from the airport. It cost us $8 dollars round trip for the train. Being from New York I was surprised more people do not use the MARTA. Compared to NY it is a breeze getting downtown from the airport. It was empty both times we rode it, the second time during what we would call rush hour in NY. When returning make sure you stay in the first two cars. Otherwise you may have some very interesting folks sharing your train ride. Atlanta is very similar to NY and you have to watch yourself at night. But like NY if you are polite and don't act like an idiot people will help you (we asked loads of people for directions and they were always helpful).

We stay here every year on our long trip to Florida. Check in is always excellent, because the clerk is always very helpful, friendly, and swift. The breakfast is very good, and the lounge is always packed. The hotel is in a very good location, because they're surrounded by stores and mall(s). The room was very clean and comfortable. They also had a mini fridge for your convince to keep whatever you needed to keep cool. The bathroom was also clean and that's a definite plus! We couldn't find one thing to complain at the Hampton Inn. We appreciate the staff, the quality of the rooms, and this hotel being in the midst of everything.
