“Little Feat Concert”
Reviewed November 19, 2012

This is my favorite concert venue. You have great seats everywhere, wonderful sound, lots of beer and wine at REASONABLE prices, and a fun and friendly staff. We always have a great time.

“Good sound for a small venue”
Reviewed November 4, 2012

The only problem is that there is almost too much seating. The floor crowd fills up more than the open area in front if the stage, so those standing up spill back into several rows of seating. Concessions could use some updating and more variety. Restrooms not too bad, certainly better than Masquerade or even the Tabernacle. The sound is surprisingly good, having seen a variety of show types. Most recently The Psychedelic Furs, Henry Rollins, Dweezil Zappa, and many more. All sounded great! Parking available in the lot behind, usually about $7.

“Great venue”
Reviewed October 25, 2012

I go here all the time to see favorite bands. They host a wide variety of musical groups, so eventually you'll find yourself here too.

“Intimate venue; one of my favorites”
Reviewed October 5, 2012

Small, decent place to see GREAT talent. Plan to stand in a long line waiting for doors to open as everyone races to general-admission seats. Front row can be the worst on those nights when standing/dancing in front of the stage is permitted (which varies from performer to performer) as your view will be completely blocked. Street parking can be hard to find nearby; limited options for handicap parking. Even so, this is one of my favorites!

“A must for live music in Atlanta!”
Reviewed September 30, 2012

I've seen a few artists at VP over the years, including: Medeski, Martin, and Wood, Herbie Hancock and the Headhunters, and <most recently> Built to Spill. The sound is excellent!!! General Admission and unassigned seating may seem difficult at first, but get there a bit early, claim a seat, and don't leave it unattended ;) Younger folks may opt to stand in the pit up close to the stage. The layout of the venue means when people in front of you stand up, you have to stand up to see. They have a single Big A** Fan (that is the brand name!) circulating air, and it does an impressive job - some may find it a bit chilly. Bring a light sweater, just in case. Overall, one of the best live music venues around. Similar to the State Theater in St. Petersburg, FL
