On vacation from Scotland we took two tours while in the city and very much enjoyed both. On the Downtown tour Paul had a background in social history and could bring and then integrate his knowledge of the areas and buildings from different periods of history which made sense of the environment, task which would be impossible otherwise. His 90 minute tour stretched to at least two hours and his passion for preservation of the city was evident. Our second
tour was of Ansley Park taken by Gene, and this was similarly entertaining, informative and brought together the social and economic history of this part of the city. Both guides brought their own personal perspectives and a diversity of knowledge. We would have taken more of these tours if time allowed.
