We decided to take a last-minute mini-trip and booked a room here on Priceline. Once we had our reservation, our husband called to request a king bed and a roll-away. He also mentioned that our youngest son was autistic and loves being on high floors - we requested to be on one if at all possible. The staff was so polite and honored each of these requests.
When we got checked in and in our room, we were very impressed. We stayed at the Intercontinental in Houston a few years back and the differences between that hotel and the Buckhead property are night and day! The roll-away was already set up, bedding on, and in place. Our room was immaculate and had one of the cleanest hotel bathrooms I've ever seen. We were placed on the 17th floor with a direct view of Stone Mountain and our boys were beside themselves with excitement.
The staff was always polite, friendly, and extremely helpful with any issues or questions we had. We also arrived to find a chilled bottle of nice champagne in a bucket with two flutes, and when we called to inquire, we were told they had mistakenly been left in our room for a previous occupant and to drink it - it would be complimentary! We ordered dessert from room service late at night to go with the bubbly - and the red velvet cake and chocolate soufflé cake were nothing short of amazing!
I even slept well on the hotel bed which is very rare. It was extremely comfortable with several pillow choices.
The only "negatives" we encountered were the internet charges and high parking fees. We were required to purchase $15 high speed access PER tablet / iPad. And we had to pay more for "high speed" access - the 24 hour rates were $10/night for Wi-Fi access, and $15/night for high speed Wi-Fi access. Self-parking was $22 / night - we've paid less in the French Quarter of New Orleans where parking is a rare, precious commodity.
That said, we loved our experience at the hotel and hope to return again soon!
