103 West is Atlanta’s private dining destination. The menu is created by their own chef; this is a restaurant for every occasion once could think of; the casusal side and the formal side of dining; service is excellent and atmosphere is very welccoming and friendly.

The food was excellent as was the decor & atmosphere. The only downside was an overbearing waiter who by the end of the even had ruined the dining experience for our our party of four.

Easter 2012 was greeted with another exceptional meal at 103 West. Top flight food, service and atmosphere, as usual. A top of the line buffet, entertainers, and even the Easter Bunny served an eclectic dining smorgasbord of gourmands from Atlanta including but not limited to the black community, Yankee transplants, and, of course the best of the olde South.

103 West has been a staple in Atlanta and for good reason. It is part of the Buckhead Life Group of restaurants which include Buckhead Diner, Chops, The Lobster Bar, Veni Vidi Vici and others. You will never regret a trip to 103 and chances are you will be talking about it for the next week!

103 West is a private restaurant and event location which apparently hosts banquets, weddings and other special occasions. I took my wife and daughter and my wheel-chair bound 80 year old mother there for a reservations-only Thanksgiving dinner. 103 West is a nice looking place and has curb appeal. Inside, the decor is acceptably posh. 103 West has all the big things pretty well covered. Nice, comfy chairs and bright windows, sumptuous decor. Here's what was missing. First, the restaurant is on a hill. A few parking spaces up front, a valet parking and entrance at the east side, where the portico leads to a steep grade to the parking lot. This prevents any attempt to unload a wheelchair-bound guest at valet parking. We parked in the cramp front spaces and then wheeled my mom toward the entrance at the portico. There is no access to the entrance for a wheelchair. The sidewalk along the entrance way is a five inch curb without a wheelchair ramp. So, I had to wheel my mom between cars parked two abreast waiting for the valet. Further, there is no wheelchair ramp for entrance. The valets pulled out a makeshift wheelchair ramp of 2x4s and pressed plywood that was rickety and at two sharp an angle. I had to have help rolling my mom up the ramp as it was rickety and slippery. Once inside, the restaurant was navigable. The next hurdle for a wheelchair bound person is the bathrooms are down a steep flight of stairs. There is one restroom upstairs in the lobby, but I didn't check it out. The food at 103 West was quite good. The traditional Thanksgiving meal was $70 per person and we received an entire banquet at our table. Also, a desert buffet contained dozens of sumptuous deserts. The smoked turkey was tasty, but some of it was a little undercooked. The stuffings were excellent as we the veggies. No complaints about the food. The service was haphazard. I had to ask twice for a wine list and the waiters did not notice when my glass of tea and cup of coffee was empty. Basically, 103 West is a nice place and the food is superb, but it's the little things that matter. Wheelchair accessible entrances are required by law and would cost the joint a scant $500.00 to have a contractor install one. Waiters being instructed to notice when drink glasses are empty is basic restaurant stuff!
