This was an excellent dining experience, beginning with house made Pate Maison, Mushroom Salad, Hearts of Palm Salad, and perfectly prepared cocktails. It was finished with an exquisite Chateaubriand for two prepared table-side.

It's difficult to see why someone would pay the same price to get a mediocre meal in a chain steakhouse when one can have a dining experience at Petite Auberge.

What a wonderful meal. Beef Wellington done to perfection, carrots so tender you can cut with a fork. My wine tasted old and corked. Kudos to the manager who came over to our table immediately and suggested I try another wine, if that was not satisfactory he would open a new bottle. The musician played Edith Piaf {could it get any better?]. Server was very pleasant and accommodating. The manager treated us to strawberries Romanoff for desert. I will be returning to this restaurant.

We had our rehearsal dinner here 28 years ago and I've been back one other time. Decided to take the 2 mom's out for a nice B-day and Mothers day dinner. Awesome choice! The place has not changed and the service and food was perfect. We had Soups, Escargot, Salads, Pate, Scallops, Prime Rib and Beef Wellington. The meals were cooked perfectly and tasted wonderful. Everyone when home happy and full.
I will be back.
Also found out they do Lunches

We have been dining at La Petite Auberge in Atlanta since 1974, when it was first opened by Wolfgang Gropp and Helmut Bittl. The restaurant is now owned and operated by Wolfgang’s two sons, Michael and Anthony, who have both learned from the expert hand of their father. The menu is nearly the same, with a range of good solid French food, and a great selection of Bavarian dishes. The rack of lamb is superb, the schnitzel excellent, and the service is beyond compare. Sammy has been at Petite Auberge since the day it opened and the wait staff is full of familiar faces, which is nice in this age of wandering staff. Best vichyssoise, best paté and best lamb ever. Strawberries Romanoff is the perfect end to a perfect meal there.

This visit was met with a new entree--the herb rubbed roasted prime rib. It was absolutely exquisite and served with a mild creamy horseradish sauce and au jus. The house-made Pate Maison was also excellent.

This month Petite Auberge has added some 30+ olive oils and vinegars in a boutique for sampling and purchase.

This is always is top-notch and classy spot in Atlanta.
