Description: Nino's, opened in 1968, has been owned and operated by Antonio Noviello since 1982. Originally from the Amalfi Coast of southern Italy, Antonio worked in Monte Carlo, then Bermuda where he met his wife Helen, an Atlanta resident. After moving to Atlanta in 1981, Antonio's life-long dream of owning his own restaurant became a reality when he purchased Nino's. For more than twenty years, Antonio has taken pride in serving authentic Italian Cuisine made with fresh, imported ingredients and cooked to order for each guest. His reputation for serving exceptional Italian cuisine has attracted devoted locals who return time and again, along with a long list of celebrities (see below) who had heard of Nino's reputation and stopped in to sample the fare. Many of the dishes on Nino's menu are original recipes brought from Italy by Antonio and his brother Giuseppe. Antonio invites you to relax and savor some of the great culinary treasures of Italy in a memorable dining experience.

The ambiance was great! Very quiet, a little too dark for me. I couldn't even read the menu off the candle light on the table but nothing biggie. The food was good however, the service was way slow for a monday night! For some reason, the server kept pushing me to order appetizers or something else apart from the main entree. I certainly would mention that parking is a bit difficult unless the adjacent lot is available too! Scoutmob discount was the icing on top!

My husband and I were celebrating our 45th anniversary; our friends were celebrating their 32nd anniversary. Nino's is said to be the oldest family-owned and operated Italian restaurant in Atlanta. The service was very good and the food was excellent. If you have room for dessert, be sure to have the canolli (just as good as Ferraro's in Little Italy).

I visited this place in April after many, many years and the food was still just as good as I remember. The atmosphere is nice but definitely comfortable with a wide range of attire to be found. I believe we also had the young inexperienced waiter someone else spoke of but he didn't pretend to know what he was talking about and we weren't in a hurry - thoroughly enjoyed our wine, calamari appetizer, salads, pasta dishes, and (of course) the best tiramasu!

Spouse and I joined 2 friends (who had dined here many times in the past) at this long time Cheshire Bridge restaurant. The bar was charming: the kind you rarely see anymore. The menu was large. The women had salmon. The men had veal. All enjoyed their food. Parking is challenging, especially in the pouring rain. Relatively recent renovation added a nice "outdoor" area, but we were protected from the rain

Remember Cher's song "If I Could Turn Back Time?" You don't have to. Just go dine at Nino's. It's a trip back to Italian restaurants in the '70s. We went to Nino's because we couldn't get a reservation at Alfredo's just up the street. They have both been fixtures on Cheshire Bridge Road since the '70s. You will find classic southern Italian dishes, servers in black pants and white shirts, opera on the sound system, and two dining areas that were last renovated decades ago. We made a reservation for a Saturday night and a booth was ready for us on time. Complimentary bruschetta (pretty good) was served along with good Italian rolls and butter. We ordered two salads (caesar and spinach, both a little too heavy on the dressing for our taste), cannelloni and spaghetti vongole. Both were very good but not great. The cannelloni was somewhat bland but the red sauce and béchamel sauce were fine. The spaghetti vongole had dozens of littleneck clams. Prices were a little high for what you get. Service was attentive and correct. The water glasses must have been refilled six times. Bottom line: if you can't get in to Alfredo's, Nino's will do just fine.
