First - TripAdvisor has a couple of inaccuracies about this location - #1 It's in Sandy Springs in a shopping center at Hammond and Roswell Road outside 285 - so should be ranked with Sandy Springs restaurants and #2, the TripAdvisor map shows the south Buckhead location on Peachtree Road.
Café Sunflower is one of my top upscale lunch options for lunch with friends, lunch meeting (it's quiet) or to be sensitive to dietary laws. Here's a pleasant surprise - most of the menu items are served hot, so they are satisfying and really delicious. Cold salads are available but unlike some vegetarian spots this menu offers numerous hot, hearty (generous portions) and beautifully appealing selections. I am always tempted to try the specials because they are creative, nutritious and individually prepared but somehow I am always drawn to those yummy Black Bean Quesadillas. The Macro Stir Fry always looks fabulous and the Portobello Wrap seems well-liked. Café Sunflower is a popular oasis with a calm atmosphere, low noise level and attentive servers . Attentive servers are adept with requests so if you don't want sour cream on your salsa, an ingredient change or no ice in your drink, just ask. If you have room afterwards, try those flavorful desserts. They are so worth the splurge- especially the moist carrot cake.
P.S. I agree with an earlier reviewer (April 2013) who suggested that the high maintenance solo patron who requested custom prepared dishes every single day for a year including food cooked for an hour to make it the right consistency then complained bitterly on TripAdvisor about Café Sunflower needs the services a personal chef. It's not a realistic expectations of any restaurant.

My coworker took me here to celebrate success at work.

The atmosphere is wonderful and the food options are very good! The food is on the more expensive end.

I had a mushroom wrap, that I didn't enjoy as much as the stuffed mushroom & broccoli dinner.

However, the carrot cake is awesome!

If you're looking for a healthy vegetarian food you can not go wrong by dining at Cafe Sunflower! Nice atmosphere, great wait staff and a owner that personally checks on each table throughout the dining experience. The spaghetti squash cakes are to die for and the tofu Pad Thai was really tasty. I am not a vegetarian and I loved the food! When you on the road it's sometimes hard to find good healthy options but this is one you can count on. Enjoy!

I read about Cafe Sunflower online and decided to try it while in town. I rode the bus for a half hour to get here and it was totally worth the trip. Located in an unpretentious strip mall, the interior is decorated very cozy. The service was very good start to finish. The menu had so many good things on it, that it was difficult to choose. I chose one of the lunch specials, a quinoa stir fry with broccoli, kale and mushrooms. It was a hearty portion for $12. I had the berry ice tea and was offered a to go cup on the way out. I indulged with a gluten free blueberry cobbler with a scoop of soy ice cream. Deelish!
