Description: Downtown Atlanta's Oldest Southern Dining restaurant since 1967. We are a "Gone With the Wind" themed restaurant, a place where the characters presence are felt from the menu to the overall decor to the memorabilia on the walls. We have created a menu of Southern classics that have been enjoyed by groups large and small from the moment we opened our doors. Dishes such as, Aunt Pittypat's Fried Chicken, 12 Oaks BBQ Ribs, Georgia Catfish, just to name a few. Our menu also includes delicious appetizers and tempting desserts made fresh in our bakery daily. We have a full bar, plus draft beer by local breweries and a Specialty Drink menu to wet your whistle. So come on by and let us show you our Southern Hospitality!

I had the fried chicken, my husband had the catfish. Both of us thought the entrees were VERY fresh. There is a salad bar with LOTS of choices, had 3 different breads(corn bread, muffin & biscuit), service was great. Husband had dessert which he said was great. Quaint atmosphere refering back to Gone With The Wind both the movie & the book. Opens at 5pm so go for supper/dinner.

A slice of southern charm! Southern food is highlighted by friendly service (southern hospitality). So refreshing to eat in a warm comfortable environment yet still have excellent service. My waiter Paul had a table of about 16. He arrived with all their drinks on one tray and placed the proper drink in front of each patron without what is becoming so common - even in white glove restaurants- the food or drink auction... you know, who gets the...whatever'?. The group was having s nice conversation and he was not intrusive. So refreshing! Food is good standard southern table food. No pretensions here. Great!

The scent of the desserts will lure you in if nothing else. The porch, even though it's on a side street is down south cozy. Music is perfect. The peach cobbler is the best. Try the ankle breaker drink or their coffee. What a great way to spend an afternoon after walking around Atlanta.

The place was not busy but the hostess tried to seat us between full tables on all 3 sides. The biscuits & cornbread were dried up and stale as was most of the food, like it had been on a warmer for hours. Maybe if we had gone for lunch it may have been fresher. But I doubt it. The waitress was sweet but everyone else seemed like they didn't want to be there.

A friend and I dined at Pittypat's on Valentine's Day. We were greeted at the door with a chipper attitude and a smile; and this type of service seemed to be contagious! The staff was absolutely amazing and the atmosphere was delightful. Everything was going well until it was time to eat! We ordered ribs and salmon--both were extremely dry and void of flavor. Perhaps if our meals had been hot maybe that would have helped! We've had better dishes cooked in the luxury of our own homes! The salad bar was ok--lettuce wasn't the freshest, but it would suffice. I've seen great reviews on this place, so perhaps it was just a bad night??? I'm not sure, but we aren't willing to give it another try.
