Description: Downtown Atlanta's Oldest Southern Dining restaurant since 1967. We are a "Gone With the Wind" themed restaurant, a place where the characters presence are felt from the menu to the overall decor to the memorabilia on the walls. We have created a menu of Southern classics that have been enjoyed by groups large and small from the moment we opened our doors. Dishes such as, Aunt Pittypat's Fried Chicken, 12 Oaks BBQ Ribs, Georgia Catfish, just to name a few. Our menu also includes delicious appetizers and tempting desserts made fresh in our bakery daily. We have a full bar, plus draft beer by local breweries and a Specialty Drink menu to wet your whistle. So come on by and let us show you our Southern Hospitality!

Dinner with Dr. Deb and two of my niece, Ti-Shara and Tisha. Food, service and knowledge of the 45+ years of existence was excellent!

The food was great and the service was excellent. We did have to wait, but our group had 8 and there were four other large groups ahead of us. The dessert was to die for-enjoy!

My friend and I decided to try a real southern cooking restaurant on our last night in Atlanta and so happy it was Pittypat's! From the moment you walked in the door, we felt welcomed. I think our waitress was fairly new but all was fine. We both ordered the fried chicken and got the sideboard extras along with the homemade cornbread and biscuits. The salads were chicken salad, sweet potato salad, red potato salad, chickpea salad and various others. They served black eyed peas and collared greens to our table, which was excellent. We ordered a piece of pecan pie to share.
I'd say it was medium priced.

Went to dinner on a Tuesday night and decided to eat at bar. Waitress was cheerful & friendly but definately understaffed. Food was incredibly average considering the prices were definately on the high side for what you got. Bread didn't arrive until well into the meal and then it was not even warm (biscuits, rolls, cornbread). Glass of wine was empty but waitress never asked if I wanted a refill. Other diners were repeatedly asking for menus, refills, service, checks, etc. I ate here 20 years ago when it was one of the top restaurants in town. Today's version doesn't even come close. Very disappointing. Will not be back. Even if the waitress/bartender had not been over-worked, the food was not up to par (had the Shrimp & Grits).

Ate dinner here while on business trip, and it was very good. The salad bar was fresh, with crisp greens and house made crackers. I ordered the crab cakes with grits and blackened shrimp. The cheese grits were the highlight of the meal. The crab cakes were pretty average, but the shrimp were fresh and tasty. One disappointment, the biscuit was stale. But the service was great.
