“Real Atlanta BBQ!”
Reviewed May 27, 2012

Always stop by for pulled pork sandwiches and sweet tea when I'm in the Atlanta area. Pulled pork cooked overnight and has a wonderful smoked flavor. Meat is tender and moist and with several choices of BBQ sauce, it's hard to go wrong. Casual atmosphere with outdoor seating if you want to kick back and relax...

“Dissapointed with our first try.”
Reviewed June 27, 2010

After hearing some positive comments from a friend, we catered a small party with Pig-n-Chick today. The pulled pork had the distinct bitter taste of soot from a smothered fire, not smoke. Most of the meat was a bit dry and a bit tough. It was not cooked low and slow until tender. The hot sauce was mostly vinegar but the taste was pretty good. The Kansas City style sauce was pretty generic. The baked beans were very good. The hushpuppies were overcooked and had been fried in well used oil. They were also expensive given their small size. In Atlanta I compare all BBQ pork to Williamson Brothers in Marietta. Unfortunately Pig-n-Chick did not even register on the same scale.

I like the BBQ.......it wall pulled and the moisture content was good. The slaw was good but my least favorite part of the meal were the sauces. They have a vinegar based sauce to resemble NC BBQ........but it wasn't close.......way to sour, a mustard based which was OK, and then a traditional. I would give it a 4 Star if the sauces were more to my liking. I will definitely go back for another try.

“Yum!”

Can't say enough good things about it! Coleslaw and potato salad were fresh and home made. This is more of a Carolina style BBQ with 3 different sauces offered at the table. Hot Reg and mustard. All of it was good.

“Great Stew!”
Reviewed December 19, 2008

The high's: The pulled pork BBQ is good (though not as good as Dusty's). The Brunswick Stew is fabulous!!! The sweet tea is very good. The mac n' cheese side is wonderful.

The low's: The restaurant serves hushpuppies, but they don't include enough in an order. And, sometimes they don't have any at all (random!). I would suggest they improve their hushpuppy experience and pair it with the BBQ plate like Dusty's BBQ does. They also need a "green" side, like green beans or some other vegetable.
