We often eat here as it is near home. Nothing spectacular, just dependable quality and a pleasant location. When the weather permits the outside dining is great. Good Sunday brunch and their house salad is one of our favorites. For a light dinner the crabcake appetizer is outstanding.

We were in the area to eat lunch at a restaurant only to discover it doesn't open for lunch on Saturday. After looking on TripAdvisor we headed to another restaurant nearby. Alas, it was closed, too. In the same area we found Garrison's. So glad we did. Our waiter was very friendly and efficient. The food was delicious. I had the brunch special - egg and chicken frittata with jalapena peppers, homemade salsa, black beans, and pepperjack cheese. Yum! My hubby had Garrison's House Salad with chicken. He said it was delicious. We will definitely go there again when we're in the area.

This is one of the best places in Smyrna to eat!. The staff is so friendly i love the dark wood and dim lighting. We were sat by the fireplace which was extremely cozy!

The food

Seared salmon - i will defintely get this again the inside was moist but the top had a crispy crunch to it. i loved the crisp it was a perfect mix of crunch and soft.
Shrimp and grits - Mmmm Mmm I could have licked my plate. There is a homemade sauce they used that is a little spicy but not overwhelming.

I have never ate a bad thing here. If you leave in the area you have to go!

Garrison's is the place in Vinings to go to when you want to be immersed into a cozy atmosphere, be provided an eclectic and thoughtful menu, be rewarded with great food with an outstanding presentation, and leave having an inner sense of well being about your world. All of these experiences live there with the exception of the service which, on our visit, tended to come off with an attitude at the bar that centered between "...I don't care whether you come here or not..." and "...perhaps you don't really belong here in the first place...". Maybe it was that I was wearing jeans and a hooded sweat shirt, perhaps it was that we were sitting at the wrong place at the bar where the service thought herself to be too busy, too pretty, or too, too. Irregardless, that little dose of exhibited attitude took away from the experiences of great food (try the flat iron steak!), the great atmosphere and location, and the value. My best advice in order to fully come to appreciate the place is to not sit at the bar in order to dine, but to instead wait for a table to be made available elsewhere.

Its been a while since we have been back and it was nice to see a busy busy restaurant at lunch and to top that off we saw several familiar faces. Looking good guys! Simple lunch, a beef burger and a turkey burger, fies and a basket of their breads- the flat bread is particularly delicious. The burgers were just what you think of when you're thinking BURGER. IT WAS DONE JUST RIGHT. Fries always served nice and hot. A good lunch and the restaurant seemed more of its old self. Stay on the comeback trail guys. We are glad to see the return of a neighborhood icon.
