Our best meal in Atlanta hands down!

We started with the delicious calendar island mussels that they split for the two of us. From there we ordered the rabbit and the short ribs special; both were magnificent. I had never tried rabbit before so I was a bit apprehensive, but long story short I’m so happy I ordered it! For dessert we had the chocolate ball shaped ganache mousse number, can’t remember the name of it but it was decadent!

The only negative on that evening was the sommelier didn’t do a stellar job recommending a great wine, plus he was pretty cold and not charming in the slightest, a little arrogant if you ask me. With that said, our waitress was extremely friendly so that made up for his dearth of personality.

But like I said, it was a wonderful experience and truly lived up to its hype!

“Food was okay. Overpriced”
Reviewed June 11, 2013

Food came out burned and undercooked at the same time, if that makes any sense. Servers were dead and the food was just priced far too high for what we were given. Would not go back or recommend.

Absolutely perfect night. We had to wait for a table, not a big deal as we sat at the bar and enjoyed talking to the bartenders and servers. When we were seated we were greeted right away and were able to take our time through courses. We did not feel rushed once. The food and service were excellent. Everything is very fresh and beautifully plated. I would not hesitate to visit Canoe again.

“Great food with Awesome Atmosphere”
Reviewed June 3, 2013

My salad was delicious, our server was extremely friendly. I took the lamb loin, it wasn't as tender as I would've liked it to be, but the flavors of the sauce, the veggies and beans were really good and made this dish extremely tasteful. I ordered the cookies and cream dessert, the ice cream was mint flavored that was extremely delicious and the chocolate chip cookie was too, however, the brownie was not good at all.
What makes this place so awesome is because of the atmosphere coupled with the food and the service, it makes it so perfect. Will definitely go there again and I agree with other reviewers, it's a really good place for special occasions.

“Love Canoe!!!”
Reviewed June 2, 2013

We dine at Canoe every year when on business in Atlanta. Always outstanding, and last night's meal was no exception. Neil, our server, was perfect. We didn't feel rushed, the recommendations were spot on. Our party of four were all delighted with our meals. A truly memorable evening out.
