Description: Famous for their see and be seen Happy Hours and beyond, The Tavern at Phipps is a bustling Buckhead hot spot where the drinks flow like water and the napkins fly high. While it's cocktails, lively atmosphere and best looking wait staff have made it a go-to spot for any night out in Atlanta for over 20 years, the classic American fare such as their trademark Tavern chips, hearty salads and Carnegie Deli pastrami keep you coming back for more. Trust us, it's worth the trip.

Went here twice for business. Ate in the restaurant and not in the bar where the short skirted waitresses are. Nice menu where prices are $12 and up for sandwiches and entrees. Big side salad for $3.95. Barbrwue chicken was great the first night and good the second night. Baked potato was hot for $13.95. Grilled salmon sandwich was excellent and so was the baked potato. Trout was very good as well. We had no problems either visit.

The food and service were average at best. Looks very clubby and cozy when looking in but the food and experience don't match up. Go to Twist instead.

I do not know why so many people in Atlanta come here, unless they are looking to be picked up by someone that lives, or wants to live, in Buckhead. The food is nothing to get excited about, and the bar scene is beyond cheesy. If that's your scene, you'll love it, however, if you prefer more authentic, local joints without attitude and cheese, hightail it out of Buckhead and head over to the east side of Atlanta (Inman Park, etc.)

I'm not a big shopping center restaurant fan but this restaurant feels like you're stepping into a dark private club. This restaurant has that "old feel" like Old Ebbitt Grill in downtown Washington DC has (the new location). Menu was interesting - lots of salads! Really enjoyed it! Great service also!

We were staying across the street at the Ritz-Carlton, so we walked over to Phipps Center for lunch. We decided to eat at The Tavern. The menu was varied with many selections. Both of us had sandwiches. Tons of food! But it was delicious! The place was crowded for Friday lunch. Our waitress was attentive and knowledgeable.
