“pretty good, avoid the fish”
Reviewed September 29, 2013

go the meze deal . . best advice, treat it like greek tapas . . the small dishes are very good, and fun experience . . we found the fish as a main to be a bit blah. but the service is good. The wine list is greek which is unique. . and not to everyone's liking (they had a couple of extra non - greek wines when we were there for some NFL thing, couldn't work it out why, but grateful because let's face it, Greece isn't exactly famous for its wine).

“Always good- one of our standby spots for a good night out”
Reviewed September 14, 2013

We love Kyma. They have a great menu, heavy on fish that is top notch. We also like the mezza dinner option, as you get a lot of food AND variety.

We always get the grilled octopus...consistently terrific. Slow braised first and finished on the grill. Flavourful and tender.

Last night I had the Plaki style dorado...whole fish baked in a tomato broth, covered with celery carrots and tomatoes. They bring it out to show you and then they take it back to debone it. Still had several bones in it but delicious. My husband had the lamb chops which are also tasty.

Baklava and rice pudding fir dessert- both hit the spot.

Only complaint...a new waiter named Doug. He is not suited for Kyma's style. Unfortunately, he has a booming voice and talks far too much. I really had to cut him off as he tried to get us to order our meal as soon as we gave a drink order. I hate that! Also, was talking so much to another table (which was annoying as his voice is very loud), and we sat with empty champagne glasses for quite awhile. Thank god we love the food there and this is the only time that I have been unhappy with our server. Will make sure not to sit in his section next time.

“Don't bother going to Greece for great food, go to Kyma in Buckhead Atlanta”
Reviewed August 20, 2013

Start with the Grilled Octopus and your on your way. Extraordinary, Authentic Greek preparation and cooking makes this restaurant TOPS in Atlanta Georgia. Our waiter, Yanni, yes Yanni, was knowledgable to a fault, directing us towards the typical Greek preparation of our fish as opposed to the more common American preparation. There is a difference and in this instance, you want to go Greek. The meal could not have been fresher nor tastier, the ambiance was crisp white and the clientele well healed. Only thing lacking, breaking of plates, OPAH!

“Great Food”
Reviewed August 14, 2013

One of my favorite places to eat in Atlanta. Been going here for several years. The food is always great. The fish dishes are always cooked to perfection. When friends come to town to visit we always take them to Kyma because we know it will be a great Atlanta experience for them. Highly recommend Kyma.

“Excellent food, not so great service.”
Reviewed August 8, 2013

The food here was fantastic, but the service was horrible. We ate at the Buckhead Diner and Pricci - all three of these owned by the Buckhead group - and this one had lousy service while the others were fantastic.

It took a long time to get our food, and one of our party did not get their dish until we were almost totally done eating. The waitress rarely came by our table.

I would still go back because the food was phenomenal, but I'd hope to get a better waiter/waitress next time.
