I have never considered Atlanta a top notch city for fine dining.
Lately a few having been changing my thinking.
You certainly don't have the talent or creativity of "The Big Apple" in Atlanta
However Pricci does hold their own !!!!
The staff is extremely well polished, wines are excellent and reasonable
Kitchen is very consistent. Chef does a nice job of mixing up the menu
However you don't have New York prices here
Give pricci a chance. 20 minutes by car from airport

It's Thursday night, and this place is packed. Couldn't be the old jazz guys playing at the bar, even though they are ok. Maybe it's the greeting with a glass of champagne since I have no reservation and there is a wait (yes, I know someone there), because it's not likely the circa 1987 interior (ok, ok, if it's not broke, don't fix it...but what about style?) that is moving people in and out. Let's break it down to the restaurant basics: Food. Wine. Service. Here, there is an abundance of all - mostly Italian, including the service. The GM/Exec Chef, Piero, is a fixture at the line, expediting food with one hand, and dishing out hugs with the other, to women (and men) who line up to gush and greet him with kisses. It's entertaining, if anything, and he takes it in stride, skillfully spending just enough time on the hellos without missing a beat on the food. If you get a seat at the counter, you'll have a great view of this whole thing. Back to the food. This is one of those places where you can just tell your waiter you like seafood or pasta or meat or whatever and he will bring you the chef's recommendations. So, that's what I'm doing tonight, and I'm not disappointed. I pick the wine first (a Castello Banfi Brunello) and what follows is a colorful array of octopus carpaccio, fiordilatte mozzarella & burrata, heirloom tomato salad. The pasta is an amazing linguini with San Marzano tomatoes and clams. But the star, by far, is the whole branzino that I am served when I am about too full to have anything more. Delicate, with a perfect balance of lemon and olive oil, it melts in your mouth. Overall, an excellent dining experience. I particularly enjoy watching the action from the counter - these guys are good. And they bring the food to back it up.

The meal was excellent! The wine recommended was just as good. And the service by our waiter Brett just capped it all off.

We were greeted like family whisked to our reserved table and after being given some of the best service and amazing food offerings I'm pleased to say all is well in Atlanta at Pricci.

Special menu given attention to our professional server, Brett; lobster busiate pasta, caprese salad was fresh and spectacular, loved the burata mozzarella.

Peach Babba dessert to top everything off and we left sated and smiling.

Kudos.
