The food was great and staff attentive at this fantastic French bistro on the grounds of the Emory Conference Center and Inn

This French bistro is located at the Emory Inn and Conference Center in Atlanta. The lunch menu has an excellent selection of dishes that blend French and modern western traditions. The decor is traditional rather than modern. Some may like that, but I find it dated and not a reflection of the current trends in French dining. Overall, though, a nice place to have a quiet and solid lunch.

Great food, quiet atmosphere, unexpected in the usual business hotel environment. Recommend to anyone wanting superior service at a reasonable price.

Had dinner while at a conference next door. Dinner was about $45, including a salad, vegetarian pasta main course, a glass of nice wine, and sorbet. Service was prompt and friendly. Salad was below average. I told the waiter that I was disappointed that the best they could do for tomatoes in August was three small cherry tomatoes cut up in little pieces (he was nice, and brought me more cut up cherry tomatoes, which was not my point). Pasta dish, which was described as having mushroom bolognese sauce, had a brown sauce; tasted OK, but the color was not appetizing. Sorbet was watermelon, and was the best dish I had. Lousy value for the money; I would not return.

This was a surprisingly cute little bistro. The lamb shank was outstanding and service prompt and friendly.
