“Saw on Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 2, 2013

Saw this place get air time on the tv show Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives, so decided to get some breakfast. This place for sure falls in the Dive category. It's a quirky greasy spoon, and I couldn't have been happier checking this place out. While we had basic eggs and bacon etc, the thing to check out here are the biscuits. They are amazing! Light and fluffy and buttery. They are not the typical biscuit you eat and feel like a lead balloon sitting in your stomach. Great place to eat breakfast, and highly recommend!

“I think it is overated and over priced.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 30, 2013

Family of 5 walked out with a bill of $40, OUCH. We went because of the Diners, Drive-in and Dives recommendation. The Country Ham is good, tastes a lot like steak. Very salty for those on a sodium watch. THE BISCUITS WERE AWESOME...but everything else was lack luster. Atmosphere was nostalgic and the waitresses were very kind. It gets busy early so get there when the doors open.

I would not stop here again.

“Get a taste of yesteryear”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 24, 2013

Treat your younger family to a taste of what diners used to be. The food is great no matter what you order. The vegetables are always great. Come early to get the lima beans. Okra is fried but not greasy or like rubber. Staff is fun and has been around for a long time. It's close to the expressway on 14th street so don't go too fast and pass it by. You can tell it's good by the repeat of all the locals that go and it can be crowded. Only gave it a very good rating simply because there is no "presentation" like in a 5*.

“Nice touch of Atlanta cuisine”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 20, 2013

Escaped from the local Mariott hotel for some authentic local cuisine, The staff there are very friendly and are very helpful. The breakfast selection is varied so you can visit all the week and have something different each day.

Went for the Sunny side eggs with grits and bacon with grits , biscuits. Not something that I have ever had so thought would give it a try, the biscuits were fluffy and light and the grits were nice.

If you are in the area then give this place a visit.

“WOW Great Fun”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 10, 2013

We found this because of the diners drive ins and dives show. Don't be alarmed at the location just go in! the food is great. there is no shortage of people that go there so don't be deterred by a short wait. it is a must see restaurant!
