“Excellent hotel for visiting Atlanta!”
Reviewed March 24, 2011

I recently spent two nights at this hotel while visiting colleges with my teen. It is located on the northeast side of the Georgia Tech campus in what appeared to be a safe area with a few restaurants and the college Barnes and Noble Bookstore across the street. The hotel seemed new and contemporary in appearence. The rooms were average size but very comfortable and clean. It was quiet except for what sounded like air conditioning hum. The staff at check in and check out were very polite and helpful. We ate breakfast and dinner in the hotel restaurant, which has both a buffet and an a la carte menu. The breakfast buffet was plentiful with high quality food, except for the pastries and doughnuts which were a bit soggy, and was reasonably priced. We did not try the buffet at dinner but the cajun salmon off the menu was great and the service was excellent. There is free wi-fi internet. Parking is convenient and it is easy to get around Atlanta, at least to the touristic places we visited.
We would definitely return to this hotel if we are ever in Atlanta again.

Yep.... the people working here are really just cheap. I was enquiring about the laundry detergent to use in their laundry room and was advised strongly to buy "Chlorox-2" at the gift shop to use as it is a detergent too which she uses it "all the time" at her home. When showed the directions on it which tells to add it with detergent, she rushed in and then came back with an advice to buy "tide" at a convenient store near by instead !! Wonder what she really uses at home !!!???! She was smiling all the time though ......

The (same) house keeper asked us about "what we needed" trying to not make our room on a daily basis. They start knocking all the doors by 7:00 AM shouting " House Keeping" !!!

Requested to put some take away food after dinner to keep in refrigerator just for the night; was told that they can rent a mini refrigerator for 15$ a night !!!

Not enough sound proofing; quite noisy !!

Only thing good is the location close/in campus. And free wi-fi I guess !!!

Thank you for providing some feedback on your experience with us.
The hotel provides all guests with complimentary access to a washer and dryer. Typically, we sell both a laundry detergent and bleach product in our gift shop. We apologize for running out of the detergent during your stay.

The hotel was elegant and clean, and at least one member of the desk staff remembered our names despite the fact that we were there during a convention. This convention, Momocon, had the potential to be rowdy (many teens in costumes), but as far as I could see the staff remained cool and friendly throughout, and they managed to keep everything pretty clean and orderly. We all had a great time!

We took a short 2 day trip to Atlanta to see the Georgia Aquarium and the Children's Museum. It was very important to have an indoor pool for the kids and there was only one reasonable hotel (less than $200 a night) located within walking distance of the aquarium with an indoor pool and it was booked. This hotel was cheaper both for the room and for the parking than several others we researched. The staff was extremely friendly, there is a Barnes and Noble across the street, and there were always taxis waiting to make the short drive to Centennial Park and local attractions. It was very quiet at night and although it wasn't the most modern or spacious of rooms, it was very clean.

Our purpose for the visit to Atlanta was to tour Georgia Tech with my daughter who is attending in the fall. The staff was very friendly on our arrival. What I loved the most was our room was so comfortable. I am a clean freak and our room was spotless. Everything worked properly and we had everything we needed. Our visit was cut short due to a life threatening family emergency and we had to leave immediately to travel to Savannah. This was late at night and the staff was very helpful and compassionate. They did everything possible to quicken our exit so we could get on the road. I will definitely be returning in the future. Thank you to the Ga Tech Hotel and Conference Center.

Close to Georgia Tech. Nearby restaurants for both quick and fine dining. Helpful, friendly staff, excellent business center. The rooms are very nice with spa amenities and the public spaces are comfortably suited to conversation and visiting.
