I often fly out of Atlanta and have stayed in plenty of the hotels nearby before my early flights. This hotel really stood out from the rest. It's clean, well decorated, and the staff was SO friendly! That is a serious surprise in a town that usually gets an F for customer service. Our room was great-lots of space, comfortable bed, and fast wifi. The hotel is right around the corner from the airport, and you can take a free shuttle if you prefer. I was so happy with this hotel. It will be my first choice if I'm in Atlanta again.

We stayed from 5/30-6/4. The lobby area was very clean and friendly. Once we entered we were promptly greeted by both receptionists. Check in took less than 5 minutes! Check out even faster!

Pros:

Very clean and friendly hotel
Fast elevator
Floor hallways smelled clean and refreshing! Nice relaxing colors.
Rooms always smelt fresh and clean. House cleaning was exceptional.
Rooms unbelievably QUIET!
Really liked the room color choice. made you feel relaxed.
King bed was unbelievably comfortable! The pillows? AWESOME!
Walk in shower, nice water pressure, plenty of towels
Nice having living qtr and a sleeping qtr without being a true suite.
Hot breakfast every morning. From breakfast sandwiches on weekdays to Pancakes or waffles on weekends.

Cons: (Not really cons, just MINOR glitches)

Elevators were pretty warm. I know they call it Hotlanta :)

Had trouble with TV. Technician was sent almost immediately. Was able to get the additional listed channels, however, they were far from HD. We probably only watched about 30-40 minutes per day, so it wasn't a big deal for this trip.

The toilets have unbelievable pressure. Sounds like a Coke can opening, amplified by 1000 times! Quite funny actually. Scared the heck out of us the first time flushing.

Would rather they had a designated smoking area instead of letting people smoke right next to the entry doors.

Conclusion:

Always check their website for pricing. We found a much better deal working directly with the hotel as opposed to TripAdvisor. We had a great stay, would stay again and highly recommend!

Room Tip: Not the best view, but request rooms on the opposite side of the lobby entry. I think it is the North side (our floor, it was the EVEN #'erd rooms). This side is away from the airport. We barely could hear the planes.

We had a lay-over on our way to the Caribbean in Atlanta, and decided to stay the night. We wanted to remain in the airport area so I did my research and came up with the Hyatt Place North. I chose the property because it offered free shuttle service from the airport, free wifi, a complimentary breakfast, & a king-sized bed, all of our top requirements. We were not let down and the price was definitely cheaper than staying and some of the other areas around town. The staff was very friendly after the shuttle driver got us immediately to the hotel. They asked us whether we wanted a high or low room in the building, the room is well laid out and perfect for business travelers especially. The concierge services were excellent and provided us information about dining options nearby and in Midtown. We were happy with all the docking possibilities for charging our gadgets, the wifi was super easy, the breakfast was delicious and the outdoor pool water was plenty warm for swimming. The only drawbacks were that the shuttles only run every half hour, the in-room climate control system is very loud and a little tricky to figure out, and that our room was right next to the elevator and so we could hear the ringing of it whenever someone was going up or down. we'd like to see the Hyatt take it up a notch or two in terms of being more eco-friendly as well. We didn't see any signs about reusing the towels and linens, asking people to do their part to conserve water and electricity (when leaving the room) and like so many chains they persist in the little tiny bottles of shampoo and conditioner that often get thrown out after one use, instead of the in-bath units that can be refilled.

Loved this hotel. Nice spacious rooms, very clean and quiet. Good location, and breakfast was very good. A great place to stay while in Atlanta. Only negative, the TV could have better channel selection.

Stayed two nights and found the room clean and comfortable and the staff to be very courteous. Breakfast was pretty good and you have access to a free WSJ daily. I did not hear any airport noise even though the airport is very close to the hotel.
Fairly easy access to 75/85 although you will find it difficult returning your rental car, good luck!
I would stay here again when my travels take me to Atlanta.

Room Tip: Ask for a room ending in an odd number. The back side (even numbered rooms)has a daily 6AM trash pickup and people wander into the parking lot and talk into the late hours.
