This place has really good food. They serve their salsa spicy which i like and they also have some kind or ranch dip they serve as a complimentary appetizer and it is really good with their chips as well. The prices are a little bit too high for the Mexican food, but i guess it is because of the location. The server was really sweet and polite! Would come back, like their bar sitting area!

We had lunch at Chuy's yesterday, and while the service and atmosphere were outstanding, I honestly cannot say the same for the food and the drinks.

The restaurant offers various seating arrangements and we quickly found a booth to our liking. The waitress took our drink order and returned quickly to take our food order. She was outstanding and we had modified our selections a little, such as beans instead of rice, extra cheese, etc.

The margaritas, while tasty, seemed to have no discernible tequila in them. And our food, including the salsa, was overpowered with cilantro...too much for our taste. My burrito, while huge, was mostly tortilla (a delicious one I must say), but a little skimpy on the chicken and fillings.

I have had much better Mexican food elsewhere.

This restaurant has plenty of onsite and nearby parking. The inside has a pleasant Mexican atmosphere and the service was very good. We ordered the "Classic Tex-Mex" plates and were not disappointed. The food was very good and chips and dip were complimentary, also very good.

The good: Dining atmosphere, entree food, adult beverages
The bad: Appetizer food
The ugly: Service (in bar)

Summary: Chuy's in Atlanta served as the Cinco de Mayo dining locale for my wife and I. Our first impressions were of a fun atmosphere and obviously an energized crowd given the day. We expected a wait (especially for Cinco) but were surprised to hear of almost a 1 hour wait for seating at 7:30 p.m. We waited for a first come, first serve bar table to be vacated and found that to be a faster alternative.

It took an unusually long time for our table to be wiped off and to receive water. The restaurant has a free nachos and fixings station, but the chip bin was empty and was not refilled. I felt that the chips, once brought to the table, were excessively salty. However, the cheese dip and pico were tasty. The house margarita was quite good, as was the frozen peach sangria. Very refreshing.

Water was never refilled over the course of the meal, which was unfortunate since the dishes had a bit of a spicy kick to them. The menu had a nice variety, and one could tell that most of the ingredients were homemade/hand-prepared. The entrees were good; however, the 'extras' (rice and beans) were mediocre at best and covered almost 2/3 of the platter. The server, despite the slow pace, was friendly throughout.

All in all, it was a good experience, and a good meal, and I would recommend it as a fine TexMex option in the Atlanta area.

Always a great experience! The food is fresh, authentic and full of flavor. Be sure to save room for the Tres Leche because words cannot describe how yummy this dessert is!
