We were staying next door at the Ritz so this was conveniently located next door. The staff were welcoming, attentive, and helpful with menu suggestions. We went with our two teenage daughters. I started with the Summer Squeeze which is vodka, cucumber, fresh ginger with a hint of lime. I did not expect this to be sweet, which it was, but it was a cool, refreshing, light drink that I absolutely loved! You could taste all the flavors and it went down smooth and easy. We tried the regular guacamole which was good but not really different than we have had at other restaurants. They recommended the Butternut Squash Guacamole or their roasted corn Guacamole but my girls won't eat either so we didn't try them. For entrees we tried the Roasted Chicken Mole Oaxaca (fantastic sauce, perfectly prepared chicken), Sea Bass Ceviche (nice flavors, I did not find it bland as other have reported), Grilled Pork Loin (my daughter loved this and the corn spoonbread was amazing too), and the Fajita-Style Cazuela (amazing flavors, great sauce) and the grilled green beans (very nice flavors and the housemade queso requeson was similar to a goat cheese in consistency but very mild flavor of a mexican cheese instead). We finished with the Churros & Three Sauces and the Choco Flan. It comes with Three Churros and three sauces. All the sauces were great but the salted cajeta (caramel sauce) was my favorite. This dessert was highly recommended and it was great and good for sharing. Each of the sauces were very unique. I am not a coffee fan so did not expect to like the chocolate-expresso but the coffee flavor was so subtle I did. If you are a coffee lover, you probably won't like it because that flavor does not stand out. The lemon meyer was a great mix of tart and sweet and a pleasant light change to the heavier sauces. The chocolate flan was very good too but nothing really different than you would expect of a really good flan. I am puzzled at the bad reviews. I did not find the staff to be haughty or too attentive and the atmosphere was good. It also has a nice bar/outdoor space that is a courtyard between the restaurant and the Ritz-Carlton hotel. We will definitely be back here. Not your typical Mexican and the flavors are AMAZING! Oh, and the prices were really reasonable. We usually spend twice this much when we eat in Atlanta.
