We went for the “Joke Off” on Saturday night. This was we’re about 8 comedians competed with one-liners. Most were very funny if a bit crude. The MC clearly hadn’t done much of this. There were a few comedians that were interspersed between the contestants, and honestly the contestants were better. The drinks were good and the service was better. We will definitely return when in Atlanta.

We went to one of the "Best of ATL" shows and had a lot of fun. The Laughing Skull much smaller than I expected -- not a good or bad thing, just an observation. We did VIP seats so we could reserve and all sit together, but next time I'd probably do general admission. They're still perfectly good seats and very close. The comedians were all good. Be prepared to be picked on a bit if you sit in the front. Didn't bother me, it was funny but just a caution if you're not into that, don't take the front two rows.

My hubby and I thoroughly enjoyed our night at the Laughing Skull Lounge. Mark Norman was featured and he was hilarious! The first two openers were a hoot as well. Definitely an adults only lounge and you must be open minded and don’t mind censored language and stereotype jokes. The lounge is small and was sold out the night we were there. There is also a bartender and she did a great job catering to the guests. Overall a fun comedy show and venue!

Small comedy club at the back of the Vortex bar. There are NO bad seats, we were at the back which is higher than the front. They say a two drink minimum so i was expecting to get ripped off but was pleasantly surprised that prices were reasonable and nobody enforced the minimum. Beers were $4 and cocktails were $9 and that was for nearly a pint. The Vortex does food but you can not take it into the laughing skull.
The main act was Dana Gould who was GREAT and was on for about an hour and a half or so. There were three warm up acts before him, a couple of who were good. So the whole show is about 21/2 hours
I will go again

10minutes per comic was just right to get a feel for their style. A variety of material with very little politics. Drew the audience in and even up on stage! Tight seating and rapid turnover of acts made it almost impossible to get up to use bathroom, so be prepared. Arrived early and revived a free seat upgrade which was great!
