Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Atlanta Airport North, GA
Ranked #59 of 174 Hotels in Atlanta
Reviewed April 8, 2013

The airport shuttle does not collect from the Int Terminal.

The room we were in was functional but looked tired.

Breakfast starts at 6 am which is a little bit late for an airport hotel in my view.

We stayed for just the one night and would do so again for the right deal.

I stayed in room 217 a standard king room

PRO's:
• Good sized room with pull out sofa
• Excellent value for Price
• 32” flat screen
• Very friendly staff. Donna was very friendly and did a great job at breakfast
• Very good beds, pillows and Duvet
• Has indoor pool and whirlpool
• Has micro/fridge combo
• Solid surface counters

CON’s:

• Moderate Airport/Atlanta noises. Light sleepers beware, Atlanta is BUSY.
• Older property, showing its age.
• A little rough around the edges

Breakfast

The breakfast choices were good, with hot/cold cereal choices, breads, juices, waffle station, hot prefab omelets and sausage. Presentation was good and the area was well serviced by Donna.

Work area
The work desk was large, lighting was mediocre. NUMEROUS outlets for electronics. Wireless worked fine, but bogged at peak times. Work chair was good, got hard after a while

SCORE: This is an above average property, but can be noisy being so near the airport. On the plus side, It doesn’t get the same road/traffic noises that the other properties do one street up by the expressway.

I would give this property an 85/100 overall and 95/100 for value. I got a great rate on Kayak.
I would consider staying here again in the future.

Room Tip: stay in room OPPOSITE the expressway and airport. Every little bit helps, but it will not eliminate...

Let's all admit one thing! Traveling can be a real chore, especially when you travel for a living.
I'am always on the road to somewhere between at least 3 different states, so i actually travel for a living. I connect with firms and sales representatives who promote our products. At the end of the day i'am often road weary, ready to wind down and relax. I don't need a lot of fan fare or drama for lack of a better word. one place for sure i can always look forward to is Country Inn & Suites "Airport north" Atl. as i have said i've been to a lot of places, but this is one place that i can always look forward to ataying at because it is "where i'am treated the best" The staff is superb, the hotel is clean, the food is great and above all there is a level of professionalism that is second to none. The manager, Jim and the regional Ms.Madvi along with Ms stephanie the sales and marketing rep will do anything to help you with your stay. From the front desk with Ms. Cierra, Milissa and Ms. Cynthia to the staff with Ms. Tracy Mary and Patricia everyone is so kind.
Try the Whirlpool to relax in the Eve too. I love this place because it is "where i'am treated the best"

Room Tip: The rooms on the 3rd floor are very quiet and the suites have a great work area!

Always us this hotel when we are flying out of Atlanta. You never know what the traffic might be, so it is great to stay there the night before with no worries if you will get to the airport on time. They shuttle you to the airport the day of your flight and you catch a shuttle back to the hotel when you return from your trip, Great service, people anr accommodations.

We had to over night in Atlanta due to flight schedules. We choose this hotel based on price and they had an airport shuttle. The shuttle runs every 30 minutes, but was waiting outside when we arrived. The front desk employee was very nice, and checked us in quickly, which was nice since we were only there for 8 hours. We had to leave before the complimentary breakfast started at 7am, but they gave us coffee and a bag with fruit and a granola bar. I would definitely stay there again!

Room Tip: The pillows were quite small, so ask for extra ones.

Our overnight stay started badly. We had a long cold wait for the airport shuttle. called the hotel who said it would be along in 30 minutes. In response to my reminder that we had already waited 20 was told that it would be another 10 in that case!! Eventually hitched a ride with one of the shuttles going to a neighbouring hotel. Had a non too friendly reception from check in so started off not being too well disposed to the hotel and my impression did not improve when noted that the towels and bed linen seemed somewhat grey and since the bedlined was very crumpled we had to trust that it had not been slept in previously.
Breakfast was the usual budget hotel fare - cereal, waffles ad ersatz eggs.
Waited for the shuttle - had been told it was neither necessary nor possible to book. Shuttle arrived a little late but to no avail since there was no room on it. The driver called around and confirmed that no other shuttle could pick us up either and since by then we were becoming concerned that if we waited for the next and a similar situation occurred we were at risk of missing our flight. The shuttle driver told the receptionist to call a cab which she did. This arrived reasonable promptly and was charged to the hotel. The airport was busy and we had about 20 minutes to spare at the gate - so glad we did not risk the next shuttle even though this should have been due 15 minutes after we left. It seems that the shuttle service is some sort of joint arrangement between local hotels so out of the control of individual hotels. Be very careful you allow plenty of time for a flight. We would not risk it again, Shuttle issues apart this is a standard 2 - 3 star establishment with comfortable bed and large rooms and if the price is right could be worth a try

With our son who is in the Navy came home for the holidays. We wanted to see our cousin in Atlanta so looked for a place that could accommodate 3 adults at a reasonable price. Since we were driving from Tampa, the indoor pool and hot tub was a reason we booked. The price was truly affordable. We arrived in the middle of the staff holiday party and scavenger hunt. The hotel manager explained and apologized as staff searched for items on the list. No problem. Check in was fast and easy. The front porch with rocking chairs and warm afternoon sun was pleasant. The suite spacious. Finally a hotel with more than enough outlets on the living room desk. The wet bar, with its high granite bar and mirror was great to do my makeup. The jacuzzi fantastic! Breakfast was average but fine before heading to the Aquarium. It is near the airport. You will hear the planes. But they stop around eleven and it is quiet until around seven. Also the staff was wonderful when our son had a mishap with the waffle batter machine. Fresh cookies a great treat. And the to go bags with fruit thoughtful. Would stay there again.

Room Tip: Stay on the backside of the hotel for less airport noise.
