I was a bit nervous about this hotel after reading some previous reviews and comments on the area of town. We stayed here for the Final Four and walked to the Georgia Dome...sometimes back at 12:30 am and felt completely safe always. There was a large and friendly police presence since 73,000 people were there! First, the bad thing about this hotel is the very tiny bathroom. Secondly, it is an open suite and not private ....bathroom too small to dress in...so if you are not with your spouse or loved one.....could possibly be an issue. But the suite is quite comfortable with a microwave and refrigerator and a half wall between bedroom and living area.
I can't say enough good things about the staff at this hotel..very friendly and welcoming from front desk to housekeeping. The breakfast was good with options for everyone including healthy offerings but needs to stay open longer. There is a small grill and bar area in the lobby to order snacks, small meals and cocktails. The Hyatt Regency is down the block if you want bigger restaurants and bar...also good restaurants in area. White Oak Kitchen & Cocktails was good. They charge $22 day for parking but all in all we were pleasantly surprised.More
