Check in was smooth and we were greeted by friendly staff. Our room was ready and very clean. The entire hotel was very clean, there was always someone wiping something down. The King room was a nice size. The bed was comfortable. It seemed that the hotel was an old apartment building or an older hotel that was redone. The door frames were painted dark brown and you could tell it had been done several times. The vanity area was nice but the area where the bathtub and toilet was very small, you sort of had to step behind the door to open or close it. The gym was like a closet and only had 2 treadmills and a couple of other items, way too small for me. I don't believe this hotel has a pool, atleast we never saw it.

The continental breakfast in the morning was good, it had all of the usual Hyatt Place items, bagels, muffins, cereal, yogurt, juices and coffee.

They offer a free shuttle within 3 miles of the hotel and that was a great thing for me because I had to go to another hotel for a meeting. They picked me up in the parking garage and dropped me at the other hotel no problem.

The area the hotel was in just seemed a little run down to me. There were alot of business just down the road a bit and large office buildings but it wasn't a very lively area. It is close to the aquarium and Coca Cola World though. You MUST eat at the brewery next door, Max Lager's. The food was great and their special fried cheesecake was FANTASTIC!

The Downtown Hyatt is a wonderful property. From the lobby to the bed, a wonderful stay. Only negative thing I can say is the Breakfast Buffett was not up to standard. Food was cold. Flavor for a restuarant of that quality was lacking, especially at $16.95.

Extremely comfortable room. No minibar, and small bathroom ,but large TV and sofa etc. Free wifi, plus PCs with printer in the lobby. Tiny fitness centre. Walking distance to sights like centennial olympic park, world of coca cola, CNN etc. Would have preferred a lower rate, but nothing to complain about.

The Hyatt Place is in an older building that has been remodeled. I suppose that's why there was nothing to do about the bathrooms … as others have said, they're really tiny.

The rooms, on the other hand, are good sized and exceedingly well designed. The remodel was done with function in mind. My room had an excellent sitting area with a large LCD TV that pivoted so it was clearly useable in both sitting and sleeping areas. The work space was tidy and functional. Beds and bedding were very good.

Service was very good at the Hyatt Place. I was given a brief tour of the (smallish) hotel, where all amenities and options were noted. Continental breakfast was adequate; hot breakfast and prepared meals are available. The hotel also offers a shuttle to take you anywhere within a three mile radius; a nice touch for a downtown hotel. Overall, a very pleasant hotel.

The Hyatt Place is located in the center of downtown Atlanta and within walking distance of the many tourist attractions. The included continental breakfast in the morning was satisfying and wholesome. The free wi-fi access throughout the hotel made surfing and conducting business a breeze. The Bakery Cafe, the hotels coffee shop serves Starbucks Coffee and some alcohol and has a nice easy going ambience about it which lends a nice touch as you nurse a chilled beer or coffee after a hard days work.

Yes, the room was spacious and spotless. But the bathroom was so small that you bumped into the toilet as soon as you opened the door. The front desk staff as well as the 'breakfast area' staff were hardly welcoming. I felt like I was bothering them. Worst complimentary breakfast of any place I have stayed. Oh, and did I mention no where on their website do they mention a $22 parking fee. If you need to stay here at least get a good rate then you won't mind their downfalls.

My husband and I booked an overnight stay using reward points at this hotel to spend the night after seeing the touring Cirque show playing at Atlantic Station. The real (and only benefit) to staying at this particular Hyatt Place is their free shuttle service within a 3 mile radius. We were able to get the shuttle to and from Atlantic Station without any hassles which allowed us not to have to drive in downtown traffic. Kudos to both drivers on Saturday night, 13 Nov. This Hyatt Place is exactly like all the others, except here you have to pay $22 per night for parking, the bathrooms are exceptionally small - if you take too big a step getting out of the bath you will land in the toilet), and the location is very noisy at night (typical of a downtown location). We got up early to go running (Centennial Park is nearby) and there was trash everywhere around the exterior of the hotel. Don't expect to get a good cup of coffee early either. Some Hyatt Place's we've stayed at get the coffee going early for early risers and for those that have to check-out prior to official breakfast times, but you won't get that type of service here. I even asked the person working the front desk about getting a early cuppa and she just told me to drink the coffee in the room (yuck!). Would have been nice if she would have offered to make me a complimentary coffee. I will say that the woman working the kitchen area once breakfast started was very friendly and helpful. Would we stay here again? You bet -- you can't beat the location for being near downtown attractions. Just know that this particular location has some quirks.
