“OK, but going through the motions”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 28, 2014

Base level of expectation for Hiltons, a large but quite tired property which could really do with significant investment. Staff are pleasant and well-trained, courteous and helpful. Food is ok, the bar is sleep-inducing in its mundanity. Good conference facilities, too small a gym. Central location in business district. All OK if you are there for a night or two on business, not really an enjoyable place if there for any longer. The Marriott, across the road, has much more life. On the plus, wifi and mobile reception is excellent.

Room Tip: Worth looking to upgrade to Honors floor if the price change is not too great.

hotel was nice, room was nice. I would stay here again...it was in the heart of the city, very nice view from window in our room, the bed was very comfortable and the pillows were great. I didn't like having to pay for parking, I thought that should be part of the room charge....

The front of house / customer care manager was amazing, he went above and beyond to help us. The rest of your staff were also very helpful and friendly. The facilities were fantastic especially the in house starbucks and computers and printers. I would give the hotel 100% for presentation our room was lovely. Perfect location. The hotel had a nice buzz and felt clean and fresh. When I return to Atlanta I will definatley be staying at the Hilton.

Room Tip: Higher Floors have a great view

I stayed here for a few nights for a recent business conference. Although the hotel is a bit dated and could use new carpets and paint the rooms are quite comfortable and functional. The restaurants are very good (especially The Market in the lobby which is open 24 hours). The gym is nicely equipped. The only negatives were some of the staff who were almost rude if asked a question. In addition, make sure that you stay no-where near the very noisy elevators (else sleeping will be impossible.)

Room Tip: Get a room as far away as possible from the elevators.

We went to spend a special night in Atlanta. We weren't really overwhelmed with this hotel, actually nothing really excited us about it. We went to the restaurant, and the service was okay. I have stayed in Atlanta before, if you are looking for somewhere you won't forget, you might want to try elsewhere. But, on the plus side, the outdoor basketball court and track was nice! Nice view of Atlanta from there!

This was a great stay at this hotel. This hotel is very very convenient to go from the airport. Just catch MARTA and you're there in 20 minutes. This hotel is connected very well from MARTA via mall and sky bridge. Its so convenient that during the cold days you don't have to walk outside. The hotel has a decent gym. The best I liked about this is their top floor executive lounge. Good food and decent breakfast. Will come back again.

I stayed here one night for business, and may or may not ever stay here again. It was nothing special, but nothing awful at the same time. The room was older, but fairly clean. There were no outlets by the bed for plugging in items at night (hence, the older vibe). The closed captioning on the TV wouldn't shut off, the TV was crooked and someone had picked some of the letters of the branding on front of the TV. Also, the remote had a red stain all over some of the buttons... needless to say I watched TV only for a few minutes.

The heating system in my room made a big "BA-BOOM!" before it kicked on, and woke me up several times through the night. The bed was comfortable, but obviously old. It was springy, and had lots of dents.

The hotel itself is old, concrete and cold. I did like the fact that it is linked by skyway to other hotels and the Sun Trust Center. The best thing about the hotel was by far the gym. It seems to be brand new, and had 100% Precor equipment.

Overall, this hotel gets a big "eh" from me.

Room Tip: This hotel is BIG! Ask for one near the elevator
