This is approximately my 15th meeting at the Emory Conference Center Hotel and yet again, they did not dissapoint! The number one reason I continually host my meeting here is their staff. By far the most responsive, knowledgeable and courteous I have found in ANY Conference Center or Hotel. The other reasons for my choice are the beautiful rooms and meeting space, the food is delicious and the grounds are breathtaking. I would especially like to comment on Larry with the Bellstaff, Jennifer in the dining room and Duwan (spelling) at the front desk. Ronnie with Conference Planning and Val with Conference Services were very attentive as well. Thank you!

Our family chose the Emory Conference Center Hotel based on it's proximity to the Emory campus, a factor we judged to be important for freshmen orientation weekend. The property is indeed within easy walking distance of Emory, and it is visually striking and nicely appointed. From there, the experience went downhill.

The biggest issue is noise. You can hear conversations from the hall, pipes flushing who knows where, and worst of all, noise outside your window. After an exhausting, hot day checking our student into Emory, we were woken up by a boisterous post-wedding party congregating below our window, apparently waiting for rides back to their hotels. They were so loud as to be basically residing in our room. The noise lasted for an hour or more with no intervention by the hotel to calm folks down. The icing on the cake was a 7 am Sunday fire drill prompted (according to the staff) by a guest burning toast. I doubt this experience is an isolated event given that the hotel obviously is a desired location for weddings and other large social gatherings.

Naturally, we complained about our restless night upon check-out. We received a useless apology and a curt admonishment that "we should have called security." How that would have improved our restfulness was unclear. Bottom line - our request for fair compensation was flatly turned down. Fine. Our next step included the cancellation of our reservations for First Year Parent's Weekend and the elimination of this hotel from consideration for our next four years of Emory visits.

Other issues at the Emory Conference Center; no free wi-fi, expensive breakfast options, and weak room air conditioning. Is it worth $250+ per night to stay at a beautiful property within walking distance of Emory? You make the call. We will be taking our business to a nearby Hampton Inn which provides a quiet stay, free breakfast, and free wi-fi for..................$69/night.

Room Tip: Do not stay in rooms that overlook the main entrance - they are noisy.

We were at the Emory Conference Center while we visited Emory University. I had called prior to arrival becasue I was unsure about the sizes of their beds. I was assured that our room would have 2 Queen beds, but when we arrived, we discovered they were doubles. It made for 2 very uncomfortable nights. That being said, the hotel itself is very attractive, the gym facilities more than adequate, but take a pass on their breakfast!

We had a great time at Wisteria Lanes. The staff the night of the event did a great job and we appreciate the great customer service that you provided throughout the process. The food was excellent and we know that all of our guest had a great time at the event. You did an excellent job catering to us and I am sure we where not the largest event you had going on that weekend. I wanted to give the staff the night of some more credit because everything went flawless. We will definitely recommend Uli and the Emory conference center to our friends and family.

We had our rehersal party at Wisteria Lanes at the Emory Conference Center. We had 70 guest and everything went flawless from the first time we met with Uli back in April 2011 until our party in July 2011. I would highly recommend for any event!

The four day conference that I attended included meals and breaks which was fabulous as the food is very good here. The front desk staff needs training; our room WIFI was included but, the staff didn't know this and would not give out any codes. Early check in was permitted but, no information about the facility was given ie: there is a shuttle for nearby areas, local map and the guest WIFI code etc. The lounge staff is either excellent or terrible depending on the day and which staff is working. The setting is gorgeous, peaceful and much like The Grove Park Inn but, bring ear plugs as the doors to the rooms slam all night long. The rooms are immaculate with excellent house keeping staff. The buffet breakfast includes specialty made waffles and omelets but, you may have to go find your own coffee or drink as the staff is marginal. The setting for a conference is great but, bring a warm jacket as the auditorium is freezing especially if you are sitting for hours. The rooms smell a bit dank and musty and it must be due to the air conditioning which does not seem to dehumidify the rooms. Emory University Hospital and campus is nearby and worth touring along with the nearby park at the residence of the Emory President's home. The gym and pool are nice if you chose to stay indoors.

Room Tip: Ask to be in the newer section with a good view and toward the end of the hall. Doors slam when clo...

The concierge was wonderful. All of the staff was courteous. Rooms were spacious and clean but they could use more outlets. I especially liked the comp shuttle that took you up to a mile from the hotel. Plenty to get you to the nearest supermarket or pharmacy. They also have a gift shop where you can get postcards and the hotel mails them out. They also have beautiful grounds.

Wow, just wow. Uli and her staff made everything about the wedding planning process simple, she made my day absolutely beautiful and stress free, and the value was just incredible. We hosted our reception in the silverbell pavillion, which was like having a party in a beautiful, upscale treehouse. The gardens were beautiful for photos, and Uli even fixed my dress--I broke my bustle during the ceremony, and she took the time to make it look just right. All of the staff at ECCH took wonderful care of my family and friends, and our captain for the evening kept me right on schedule, fed and a drink in my hand the entire day--I didnt have to lift a finger. They even provided a suite for us to stay in the night of the reception, free of charge. Perfect day thanks to ECCH. I will always sing their praises. Many thanks, Keri and Mike
