came here with my husband and daughter on a Sunday and they had lots to choose from and i we all left pretty stuffed. The service was okay, it just seemed like there were waiters scattered everywhere i didn't know who to ask for a refill so i asked anyone that i seen who worked there. The horchata was very good and probably the best thing here. I went back the next day on a Monday and the food wasn't the same as the buffet which the buffet had much more flavor. They didn't serve horchata on that next day i went either they said they only do that Sundays. I would only go back on a Sunday because i would actually be serving myself and i don't have to wait on anyone or look for anyone that's work here for seconds on anything i want except the horchata i would have to wait for someone to bring because its not self serve

Horrible experience!! I was embarrassed and will never patronize any El Azteca ever again. My sister bought me a gift certificate for Xmas from El Azteca for $30. I tried to use it today and they refused to accept it because even though it was the same paper, same design, and signed with the name of one of their employees, it was not stamped with "El Azteca". They said they believe My sister bought it, but that without the stamp the employee could have scammed her. So honor the damn certificate!! I was completely embarrassed in front of my guest and had to pay full price for the meal. This place is a SCAM!!!!!!!! Terrible customer service! I will never go here again.

El Azteca serves up a variety of standard Tex-Mex dishes that are tasty, but aside from the tweaking of sauces for enchiladas and burritos, not that distinguishable from similar restaurants. The food is made to order, not sitting on a steam table for hours, and service is typically fast and efficient. My friend always asks to substitute black beans for refried beans, and they NEVER get it right. His plate always goes back to the kitchen. Beer specials and tasty margaritas keep everything mellow. On a recent slow night, a roving mariachi band livened up the atmosphere.
