Owner description: Going to the Starlight Six Drive-In Theater is like taking a step back in time. You turn off your headlights, tune the movie in to your car radio and kick back and enjoy movies on the really big screen.

Interesting. Very mixed crowd. Recent murder there. Will not go back.
Reminds of the old days. Too bad it is not safe anymore.

The area that the heavenly Starlight is located was once on the distant outskirts of Atlanta when built in 1949 and now the distant sound of gunfight ofter permeates the outdoor air on a typical Saturday night. BUT.... if you can deal with it, you will be awash in your childhood memories of mediocre consession food, folding chairs and movie trailers and the holiday retrospectives that make this an endearing, even touching experience. It is a place to be preserved and treasured and with so few touchstones to the past, the Starlight bears witness to an age we will never recapture by for the occasional visit to this lovely shrine

Been visiting for YEARS, enjoyed most of my visits, but as of last year, a dear friend of mine was shot and killed simply bc he asked someone for a jump on his car. My friend was not an aggressive person, and it was a freak occurrence. Never the less the area around Starlight has grown very dangerous. Worth going to for the experience, just be careful.

If I lived in Atlanta I would come here frequently! We got there early to get a good spot and also because we wanted to grill out and eat before the film. You can't beat the price and although they say no alcohol, this isn't strictly enforced!! We had a great time here!

The price is great, and you get 2 movies. You are allowed to bring in whatever you want to eat, so you are not forced to pay gouged prices for food, but you can get food if you want. We go at least 1-2 times a month. It is a tradition for us to bring our conversion van and set up some fold out chairs, bring some coolers, set up the grill and have a good time.
