I was here for two nights on business and was very impressed with this hotel! The high level of service begins the minute you step off the tram, where you are greeted and welcomed to the hotel. After a short walk, the front desk was ready for me to arrive and had me checked in very quickly. I found the rooms to be very quiet and extremely clean. The staff was helpful and friendly in the conference meeting room area, too.

I would highly recommend this hotel for it's convenient location to the airport and the great service.

We booked this particular Marriot to get a head start on an early flight out of the madness called ATL. The hotel is beautiful - the lobby overwhelms and the bell staff were outstanding. In fact, most of the staff were very pleasant, professional and polite, willing to go that extra effort to help.

However, we were slight disappointed after reading the rave reviews and anticipating a great stay. The rooms, though modern and beautifully decorated, tend to be small and overall designed for one. For example - the bathroom is very tiny. The door was designed so low that you cannot close it for privacy unless you move the bath mat; the bath mat does not fit under the door. This may sound trivial, but it gets annoying the 10th time you have to physically move the bath mat so you can close the door. Another example is power outlets only on one side of the bed - no outlets on the other side of the bed. Only one robe in the closet. The king-sized bed was very comfortable, however, and A/C was very efficient, plus the citrus scented Bath and Bodyworks products in the bathroom were a nice touch. Slight noise could still be heard from the airport, but overall, I was quite impressed at the soundproofing. From what we could see the hotel was not at capacity and was very quiet in the public areas; there was also a staff member on hand in the lobby, greeting guests as they checked in, offering to answer any questions. This is great idea as it frees up the check-in staff and they can work more quickly.

After checking in, we decided to have a light dinner at the Champions Sports Bar. We ordered the Fried Chicken Sliders and they were tasteless, though fairly moist. They were put on toasted brioche buns which were very dry. Fries were overcooked. This made for a rather unpleasant dining experience. Service though friendly, was slightly uneven - being our waiter disappeared and when we found a staff member to request our bill, he told us he only served food and apologetically told us he could not ring our bill in. My husband stood at the almost empty bar for at least 5 minutes for help, and ignored by the bartender as he was seemingly was more interested in joking around with a couple of drinking customers. When we found our server again, he was apologetic and gave us 20% off our bill because we were not happy with our food; this does not change much as we would not eat there again based on our experience.

We stayed on the concierge level, which I would recommend. The lounge, as in keeping with the rest of the hotel, is very nicely decorated and has plenty of comfortable seating, with windows looking out to the airport. Evening appetizers were pretty good, consisting of very tender beef satay and somewhat tasteless shrimp salad (on the dry brioche that was also served at the bar). Breakfast was excellent - scrambled eggs, bacon, fresh baked goods, fruit and other continental items. Both staff members were very helpful and pleasant to talk to. Free wifi is also available in the concierge lounge. However, the lounge is only open Sunday evening to Friday evening, something to remember if you book in anticipation of using the lounge.

We are not sure if we would stay at this Marriott again. Though the facilities are new and very nice, there were enough troublesome little things cropping up to make us think again, especially at almost $300 a night (you will find rates drop dramatically on Friday and Saturday). The most attractive point of the hotel is that it is only a brief Skytrain ride from the car rental centre and the airport, making it very convenient if you are flying out of Atlanta, especially on an early flight.

This hotel is relatively new, and has nice rooms, a good bar, and a decent restaurant. The workout room is good too. It's best attribute is its location: it is a short walk from the hotel to the airport train, and only a several minute ride from the train stop to the airport. The convenience is ough to beat.

On the negative side, on a slow night, and one on which the restaurant staffers outnumbered the patrons, the service was incompetent and painfully slow.

What a great welcome to Atlanta. After being picked up at the airport, it is just a short drive to this beautifully appointed hotel. The staff almost overwhelms you at the door as they go out of the way to greet you and introduce themselves. What a wonderful stay. Great room, bar and business center.

Very shiny and new. Really handy for the airport - just jump on the Skytrain, takes 2 minutes, free ride between the hotel and airport. Beautiful lobby. Staff were so friendly and welcoming. We only stayed one night, but the room was great, and a very comfy bed. Had dinner at the Champions restaurant - okay. But breakfast the next morning was fabulous. Highly recommended. We will stay here again.

Staff is wonderful. We haven't received such exceptional treatment since our last stay at a Four Seasons. Every employee went out of their way to welcome us, to regularly ask about our trip, our room, our meals, our cocktails, etc. It's clear they care about their guests and want them to have the best experience they can.

We were very disappointed in the onsite restaurant, "Champions". The hotel website is misleading and makes it appear there are 2 restaurants onsite, but there is only the "Champions" sports bar, with the typical sports bar menu (cheese fries, burgers, wings, etc). They have a lovely lobby bar where they also serve food (the "Great Room"), and the food and drinks there were very good. We were looking forward to a nice, relaxing dinner after a long day of travel, and sadly sadly had to settle for a terrible meal at Champions. 20 minutes before our first drink order arrived, lemon chicken was dry and flavorless, pasta sauce tasted like ketchup. On the way back to our room, the front desk staff asked us about our meal, and we replied honestly. Within 30 minutes we received a call from the restaurant manager apologizing and asking what can be done to make it better. Very impressive to have such pro-active staff and such fast follow-up. They also left a hand-written note under our door overnight, and a coupon for their breakfast buffet.

Direct link to the airport via tram is wonderful - fast, easy and no need to rent a car.

The property is new, and has very stylish decor. Lobby bar was a great place to relax and meet up with other family members as they arrived for our reunion/party.

We stayed here the night before we departed for an international trip. It was nice to sleep well in the incredibly comfortable bedding. We made our way downstairs to find the airport shuttle waiting for us...and the driver was so helpful with our luggage.

Upon our return, the driver drove straight to our car and again handled all our luggage for us.

I would much rather pay for a comfy room than pay airport parking fees and have to worry about waking at the crack of dawn to make my flight...
