In late August we enjoyed a delightful evening with family at this Marlow's. The asparagus fries with aioli were a surprising and delightful starter. The shrimp and grits that I had were balanced, properly cooked, and a real winner! The fried grit cake added texture and the buerre blanc was silky and delicious. In fact, we were told that this dish has won awards at local food fairs. Others at the table raved about the tilapia tacos which were generous and tasty. I thoroughly enjoyed the premium wine served by the glass which you don't get in many "taverns". Service was professional, prompt and personal. My only criticism was that the room was very noisey, such that it was difficult to talk across the table. We were fortunate to have a corner booth which helped some, but I found that particular seating to be quite uncomfortable on my bad back.
