Owner description: This stunning, porcelain-enameled building was designed by famed architect Richard Meier and is rivaled only by the art inside. Featuring American, European and African art, as well as decorative art and photography, the High Museum boasts a permanent collection of over 11,000 pieces, many of which can be viewed from different levels of the four-story, glass atrium.

“There Is A Very Comfortable White Leather Couch”
Reviewed October 14, 2013

Like many husbands, I get dragged to Art Museums by my wife. My son and I are writing a "Bench Book" to rate the sitting possibilities, with rankings from one to five cheeks. We both agree that the couch on the third floor rates five.

“Interesting”
Reviewed October 14, 2013

The High Museum is a modern and attractive structure. It houses diverse and interesting art and exhibits. While there are works of European Masters, i was especially interested in the works of artists who lived in the Southeastern part of the United States.

“Okay, but a bit pricy.”
Reviewed October 14, 2013

Went to see the travelling exhibit with Vermeer's Girl with a Pearl Earring. Was in Atlanta on business so went on Thursday night. Good thing because entry fee was half price that evening - normally it is $20 to get. Not much else in the museum - only found one small Sargent even though it was mentioned in guidebook. Nice displays though and interesting building.

“surprisingly kid-friendly considering”
Reviewed October 12, 2013

We went for Toddler Thursdays for the first time and the museum is surprisingly kid-friendly. Parents will need to keep a rein on the youngest ones but my four-year-old enjoyed exploring and seeing all the exhibits. The courtyard was a great place for a picnic in good weather. Membership prices are pretty reasonable so we are considering getting one.
