Owner description: This stunning, porcelain-enameled building was designed by famed architect Richard Meier and is rivaled only by the art inside. Featuring American, European and African art, as well as decorative art and photography, the High Museum boasts a permanent collection of over 11,000 pieces, many of which can be viewed from different levels of the four-story, glass atrium.

We are members, proud Atlanta has such a good Museum, something for every one, incredible collection... The High has embraced southern Folk / Outsider Art with in the permanent collection. This, in my opinion, is so important to our southern art heritage. The High has so much to offer. The jazz evenings are my favorite. Perfect place for any occasion, bring out of town guests... Art washes away from the soul the dust of every day life - Picasso. Go inspire yourself!
P.S. Thank you to the late Virginia Crawford for her incredible support of the HIGH.

As members of the High, we enjoy heading down for an afternoon date. The artwork is plentiful and the building's design a work of art in itself. A large swooping walkway winds its way up and down the museum's levels. Be sure to check the calendar as the museum often hosts special exhibits, which though most often are well worth visiting, can make the museum a bit crowded on nights and weekends.

This was an excellent trip for all in a group. They had a lot to look at. They have a live jazz concert one Friday night a month that you cant miss! Its included with the admission.

High on Art, that is. This is the place to be if you want to learn about and see art from all over the world. From the traveling exhibits to the permanent ones, the High museum is oh what...six floors of amazing art. The lighting, set up, and store are all cool for souvenirs. As well, they have midnight events and special events there as well. Very reasonable entrance fees.

One of the main attractions in Atlanta. Bank of America customers get in for free on Sundays too! The upper floors contain the more modern art which is more my scene. The candid presidential photos were thought provoking and well worth a visit.
