Piedmont Park is a fun place to walk and explore. You can get in several miles walking around the park. It is well maintained and there are frequent events that are also interesting. But it's a fun place anytime if you just walking for exercise.

I live in Atlanta, and Piedmont Park is one of my favorite places to go for a walk, run, or take my dog. They have a Large dog park and a Small dog park for small dogs. They are both very spacious and nice! Piedmont park has many trees by the lake and swinging benches. It is great for friends, family, or to go to with significant others. Many people picnic in the Spring/Summer/Fall on the beautiful grassy knolls surrounding the large fields. Many softball, kickball, sand volleyball, flag football, and soccer leagues play there. I have run a 5K there, which was a lot of fun, as well as attended Music Midtown and other art festivals there. They frequently have art festivals with many different vendors and unique items. I would definitely go there with someone, and not after dark unless with a large group or going to Park Tavern, the restaurant on the Park.
A large spacious and beautiful park right within the center of midtown Atlanta. One of the few places in Atlanta that is still protected from real estate speculation and promoters.
Piedmont Park is a great example of green space where you can enjoy a picnic on a nice day, see some wildlife near the water, lake or just go walking and see the Atlanta skyscrape. It is also a site for many events in Atlanta so come and enjoy our beautiful city green space.
This is a huge park with a number of sport facilities. Initially it was built as a sort of expo area to revive the city's economic condition. It has lots of trees & would have been a great place to walk around, if the weather is friendly.
Piedmont Park is the lung of Mid-town Atlanta. A large park adjacent to Botanical garden with large green area. It has also a lake and sport facilities including for Tennis and swimming pools.
It shares parking house with Botanical Garden, so parking is not a problem despite location but not free.
