A beautiful city park, with truly lovely views of the Atlanta skyline. However--if you have to drive to get there--beware! There's a shortage of parking (especially on sunny weekends) and traffic can be quite congested in the surrounding neighborhoods.

Piedmont Park has something for everyone-- it connects with the eastside portion of the newly developed beltline trail, so walkers, bikers, runners, and dog walkers will find it easily accessible. There are sports fields, a dog park, and plenty of space to relax in the sun. My favorite part of Atlanta. Numerous festivals and events are held here, and the view of the midtown skyline is truly spectacular. For visitors to our city, it's best to combine this with a casual lunch in midtown at one of many restaurants located nearby. You can walk down tenth street from one of the park's entrances, or you can walk down Monroe towards Virginia Highlands/ Morningside area.

Piedmont Park has something for everyone. A free dog park, plenty of sidewalks for walkers, runners, bikers, pushing strollers... tons of green space for soccer, frisbee, picnics, etc. There's also a public pool, a playground, a small lake, and great views of midtown. If you are visiting Atlanta in the spring, check the local event listings, because there are often festivals in the park (Dogwood Fest, Jazz Fest) and usually that means free music. The free jazz festival is held here every year on Memorial Day and it's a fun time. Lots of happy people enjoying the beginning of summer.

Very nice park to relax or exercise at! I walked the park and it was so relaxing. There is also a lot for the kids and dogs!

A free dog park!, an absolutely beautiful park with many different choices of green space or by the water and with decent bathrooms!
