If you want a great selection of exoctic animals, visit the zoo. The staff has always been very pleasant and answer questions. Could spend all day.

Went on a picnic here with a large group of friends. Really peaceful and a nice alternative to Piedmont.

And great food around Grant Park

Great area for picnics, walk the dog or any moment of peace in time. Location for me was just great was able to go to other surrounding known locations with in minutes, Zoo, Turner Field, Inman Park, The Capitol all so near to the park. If you enjoy friends and family company or just your own great place for peace of mind, heart body and soul

Grant Park is a HUGE and very beautiful park. There are thousands of mature trees and much of your walk in the park is shaded (a great thing in "Hotlanta"). You could spend a whole day in Grant Park, Zoo, Cyclorama, Oakland Cemetery. The surrounding neighborhood holds a mix of some beautiful historic Victorian homes (along with some run-down scary homes/businesses).

Atlanta has done wonders with this park. Family friendly no mater the type of family. Animal friendly you can do what ever you want on any given day at the park. This is what every park should offer!
