This museum presents President Carter's tenure in office and after life in a concise manner. An easy read while walking through history. Worth a visit if you are in the area!

“Sign of the times”
Reviewed October 28, 2013

i liked that it was easy to follow the timeline from room to room. i liked that the displays were easy to read and interesting; This also accounts for the technical displays as well. It's self guiding and starts you at the beginning of his life and takes you to the end of the presidency to the present. My only negative comment is that i wish for those of us who are not from Georgia that there was a map showing where Plains Ga is; it is mentioned so many times but never displayed on a map. Aside from this, the library still gets 5 stars from me. Also, stop in to the cafe...small but adequate for a light bite to eat..

I am a real history buff, so I appreciated my travel partners going to this venue. It was wonderful to see President Carter's collection of books and papers.

“Alas, closed because of the Federal lockout”
Reviewed October 12, 2013

The gounds and approach looked fabulous on this Saturday when it would normally be open from 9 to 5. Alas, the impasse in Congress means we can't see it this time. When are we going to teach those bozos a lesson about getting along ?

“Trip to Jimmy Carter Museum”
Reviewed October 11, 2013

Mr. Carter has a special place in my memory. The day after his presidency was over he flew to Germany to visit 44 released hostages going through medical review at Emilia Earhart Hospital where I was a patient as well. Was quite the experience that was. So touring Carter Museum was personally special visit to me. The lay out of the exhibits were great, his life story, his humanity and Nobel Peace Medal made me appreciate President Carter even more. Well worth the visit.
