A learning and lovely time. This library is very interactive as well as informative. It was lovely sitting outdoors in the Japanese gardens as well as inside viewing the beautiful items from the Carter White House. I also appreciated hearing all the good work both Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter have done, and are still doing, since their White House days. It is a worthwhile use of your time and effort.

“Jimmy Carter Library/Museum”

This is an attraction many people overlook when they visit Atlanta, but it is a very special place to see, for a number of reasons. It is set on beautiful grounds, and the museum is very interesting and well done. My wife, college aged son and I have visited there several times, and we've all come away, each time, learning something new about the Carter Presidency, and just enjoying a 1-2 hour visit. Very easy to get to, by car, from downtown Atlanta- less than 25 minutes.

“This is a working place, not a resting place”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 18, 2012

Unlike most other Presidential Libraries, The Carter Center is active in humanitarian interests that affect us all, both nationally and globally. It's still a good walk down memory lane, but it's present day work is what is most impressive.

“Well-presenter reminder of recent history”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 11, 2012

Whatever one's politics, it's good to get a refresher course on recent history. Yes, the Carter Museum does present a biased view favorably presenting the former President's accomplishments, but overall it is a well-presented reminder of the events of the 1970's. It presents the work of President Carter and his wife Rasalynn both during and since his presidency. To that end it is enlightening to see how the events of the years of his Presidency have evolved into the issues of today.

“Liked it!!!!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 4, 2012

We are in Atlanta at least yearly for baseball games so we try to do something different each visit. We were quite impressed by the Jimmy Carter Library and Museum. We have been to several Presidential libraries and this one is right at the top. Library is nicely balanced with interactive exhibits. It was quite a nice visit and I would recommend it to anyone especially those of you who are history buffs. Baby boomers will be interested in this part of our history.
