Rooms are on the pricey side. We got a 2 bedroom suite, which was VERY spacious. Nice little kitchen, comfortable living area, two bedrooms and bathroom with tub. There were flat screen TV's in the living area and both bedrooms. One bedroom had a (very) small balcony. We stayed here after seeing Aussie Floyd at the Fox. This hotel is directly across the street from the venue.

As a guest at a hotel you expect the front desk staff to be professional and provide good customer service. That unfortunately was not the case in my experience. The hotel is comparable to other hotels, but customer service can make or break an experience. I can spend my money elsewhere, and that includes my corporate account as well.

While some hotels are fine with being average, in my mind its always better to stretch and excel. With rooms under renovation in a building that is supremely historic, it is amazing that the efforts to lift the rooms from somewhat below average to just above.

You won't find larger rooms, probably anywhere in Atlanta, but c'mon, hire a decorator, make use of the space and don't mix and match semi-contemporary pieces with others that feel like early Salvation Army. The in-hotel restaurant Livingston, is a perfect example of a seamless integration of the old and the new; too bad the hotel didn't use that as a guide.

Let's talk specifics:
- Service, if you could call it that. Pretty non existent from the seemingly "can't be bothered" front desk staff to their lack of ability to answer the phone when calling down with questions
- Look into replacing the towels. Twice, I had to check if I was using the bath mat instead of a bath towel due to it's unfortunate texture
- The mattresses have seen better days
- The parking is overpriced, especially for Atlanta
- Lukewarm showers each morning through the most minimal of shower heads
- Heat didn't work
- Please quit wasting tissues by having the maids, with their dirty hands, make flower arrangements that will rest on top of the dispenser. If you think I'm going to use tissues that have been pressed and shaped by the hands of others, you're nuts.

With history on its side, The Georgian Terrace has so much potential, but it just barely offers modern convenience.

Room Tip: Ask for a renovated room and also rooms NOT facing Peachtree Street.

Lovely boutique hotel on Peachtree. Across the street for the Fox Theather...a plus. Easy to get to until you exit 85...then crossing Peachtree is a little tense. Great little bar...awesome chopped salad and a lovely place for a single girl who wants to be left alone. But..a group behind me sounded like they were having fun, too..don't hesitate...do this. You will not regret it.

I chose this hotel because of its location. The Marta is just a 5 minute walk away and the bus that takes you to the art district is stops right on the road in front of the hotel. The room was a little small (no desk to work at) but if not, everything else was perfect. The room service was also prompt and checking in and out was also a breeze. There are numerous food options nearby, and of course, the in-house restaurants are great too!

Room Tip: Request for one that is away from the storage closet. I was right beside the storeroom and the quiet...

Made reservations late Saturday night to check in the next day. I found the hotel on Expedia and wanted something close to the Georgia Dome. I was nervous the whole drive to Atlanta, praying that I had chosen a nice hotel, in a safe area. Let me just say WOW! What an absolutely beautiful hotel. The lobby was beautiful the staff was wonderful and very helpful. My only regret is that I ate dinner at the Hard Rock and not at the hotel. We did go to the bar that evening and Jeff was just great. I will never stay anywhere else but here when I am in Atlanta. Everyone on staff was just as friendly and helpful as they could be and truly added to our positive experience.

Room Tip: We were in a one bedroom suite and had plenty of space. Bed was very comfortable. We were on the 1...

This old hotel ain't what she used to be. She's fine for a simple stay, but overpriced for what you get. First of all, the suites that have kitchenettes don't have any glassware or dishes, or cutlery or pots and pans- very strange. No wine opener etc... you'd think this place that prides itself on its' history would invest in some details to restore it back to it's former glory. But back to glassware: the bathroom and kitchen have thin plastic disposable glasses- even a Holiday Inn has glass drinking glasses in the bathroom!
I stayed in a 2 BR suite which regulary goes for over $800 a night, and I would be furious if I had had to pay that amount as the rooms have seen better days... just don't look too closely because there are many details that will make you cringe. Even at $300/ night it was overpriced.
For starters, the bathroom has a burgundy wallpaper with an outdated print: many flecks or gouges have peeled off so there were white spots scattered on the walls throughout the bathroom, there were broken tiles that trimmed the floor, the bathroom door was chipped and needed a paint job, the shower nozzle leaked and was spraying water onto the wall... and the tub still hadn't drained after a bath I had the previous night. The tiles above the bathtub had been repaired but were mismatched and the caulking was too... repairs seem to be done by people who don't have a vested interest in the aesthetics of the hotel, so makes me wonder what accreditation the repairmen had. Very tiny towel rack for 2 bathtowels above the toilet.

Wallpaper had stains and water damage in the living spaces, furniture had nicks, etc... etc...
Finally, because I was there on business I did not have the chance to check out the bedding, but after 3 days, the comforter cover had come off and exposed the "duvet" which was pilled, dirty, spotted with blood and other stains.... not appealing in the least. That being said, the bed was comfy, and the suite had a washer and dryer located in the walk in closet off the bedroom. Amenities included body wash, soap and lotion... but no shampoo.
For the amount you spend on a room at this hotel, the experience should rank in the 4 star range if not higher. Expected a lot more.
The door had a faulty lock on it, so sometimes you had to try and open your door 3 or 4 times, and finally, after trial and error realized that lifting the door handle up would give you better success.
As I mentioned I was here on business so spent very little time in the hotel, other than sleeping, but these little details stuck out like sore thumbs. Also, there was a locked door at the entrance to the kitchen which sounded like it contained the furnace/heating etc... which hummed very loudly. I had to close the door to my bedroom to muffle the sound somewhat.
On the plus side, this hotel is centrally located in MIdtown and easy to walk a few blocks to restaurants and amenities.
My question is: why do they drag their feet on repairs? Many reviews seem to stress these misteps and I've posted a few pix so you can see for yourself.

Room Tip: Many seem to get free upgrades, perhaps it does not hurt to ask? I would check out your room before...
