We had some extra time in Atlanta so we decided to try the Inside CNN tour. My expectations were quite low, but boy were they exceeded with this tour. We were able to see most of the workings of producing news broadcasts including viewing live studio broadcasting. The tour lasts under an hour, but the time really flies by.
If you have an extra hour or so, the Inside CNN tour could be just the way to spend it.

For those of you who enjoy watching the news and understanding how it works behind the scenes, this will be a wonderful experience. It's one of those things that you do at least once in your life. The tour takes you behind the scenes of CNN. It shows you how everything is broadcasted, it shows you the real studios, and it will even shows you a live broadcast.

The tour takes about one hour and it costs less than $20 or about $40 for the VIP. In my opinion, it is well worth the time and money.

If you have issue with loud screaming kids then you may want to take the VIP tour.

This was a tour that I didn't expect much from but really enjoyed it. Very informative, made all the better seeing some real filming and events taking place. I think our tour guide was Lauren and she did a great job. Took a previous reviews advice and went mid week and it didn't disappoint.

I loved this tour of CNN. Got up close and personal. Food court at the bottom - great. Really crowded around lunch time though.

I did the tour because it was included in the CityPass, and enjoyed it quite a bit. The elevator ride at the start gives you a nice overview of the entire complex, and happens to be a Guinness World Record. The tour basically takes you through the decors and technical studios, as well as the news gathering offices. If you're in luck you can see an anchor while preparing to go on air. It gives an insight in how much planning and editing they have to do just to give you some news. The pictures taken are for sale when you exit through the gift shop (surprise...) , but rather expensive. If you are into technology and news, it will be a fun visit.
